Portland didn't make a single 3 pointer, haha. Deng was awesome, Rose showed a nice over all floor game, and we had a nice twin towers look going for a big part of the contest. Just gotta stop fouling so damn much and our defense will be all right. Korver's starting to get involved too which is really nice to see. Also the guys we threw at Roy on defense were really nice. Man 40 points on 19 shots for Deng. He's got that corner 3 down pat.

Yep, welcome to the season Luol. Nice to see Korver and Brewer getting involved too. Portland's a good team though and it'll probably be a case where we need Rose to close them out.

USC and ND? I was an ND fan until I went to school at USC and I never turned the switch on Notre Dame. There's not a lot enmity in the rivalry anyhow. Although now that Davie, Ty, and Weis have laid waste to the program I find them more comic than likable. But yeah, I root for them.

I hated those Northwestern teams because they upset Notre Dame and because Darnell Autry quit on the Bears to pursue a career in the theater (for real).

Sorry bout that. The good news is, that we are well on our way to being the next Notre Dame :). Despite my entire NSBB monkier being about being a UM Fan, I am a very fickle football fan that can't handle that the one team he is supposed to count on being good every year is a huge mess. I've always been a bigger UM Hoops fan anyways. Will always watch and follow football, but I became a Michigan fan more from guys like Traylor, Bullock, Ward, Taylor, Conlan, etc So you've got Charles Woodson making amazing plays, winning titles, and generally being dominant but what really drew you to Michigan were the middling basketball teams led by Tractor Traylor's fat ass?

My question is, if you claim him, and he doesn't play can you avoid paying his salary and can you still stop him from going to another team?

Moss has no say. Either sit out or play for the team that takes his claim. Right, but if he says I'm not playing for anyone but New England would a team really pay his salary just to block the Patriots? They wouldn't pay his salary if he chose not to play for them. Would they still control his rights?

I don't see any real reportage there. Sounds like a bunch of dumb reasoning (i.e. the Bears are happy with their top receivers, they don't want to bring in a troublemaker midseason, and other nonsense).

If Moss really wants to play for New England and they'll have him is there anything anyone can do? You can claim him, of course, but you can't make him play can you?

Yeah, that PI play was weird. They ended up scoring so no one talked about it (although Favre did end up getting slammed on that drive). But he flat gave up on that play when he could've caught it easily.
