    Well nothing surprises me with Marshall, lets hope we have a better network around to help keep him out of trouble. If he misses a few games, we'll survive. Hell of a first day anyway, don't even want to contemplate Mario. Mincey would be a hell of a get himself. Glad we're being agressive as hell.

    I remember reading a fluff piece on Maples over the winter talking about his regimin and what all he was doing. I was impressed and thought he was really going to come in ready. Hopefully this is something trivial.

    I guess the Fins will go get Wayne now. If they get Manning, it can be sold, I guess. But, if they miss on him, replacing Marshall with Wayne is dumber than dumb. I wouldn't have done it, even if that IS what Peyton wants.

    I'd rather have Coby Fleener than one of those 3 vets. If we DO address either O Line or DE in FA, I think I'd like to trade down from 19. I guess we need a team to get QB desperate, trying to move up for Cousins, Osweiler, or Weeden. Or by some slim chance Tannehill is still on the board, that'd be where we got the most return, I guess. Fleener would be cool as a late 1st, early 2nd round type.

    As far as the Redskins go, I was sure they'd go out and blow their wad on V-Jax last night, which didn't make sense, so I reasoned that as to why they'd do it. But, they proved me wrong. They've gone and done something even more assinine. Signing 3 average at best WR's, none of which are an upgrade from Moss. It is funny listening to these irate callers and meathead talk show hosts though.

    LaRon Landry is taking visits and we're interested. I like him, but with his injury history, I wouldn't feel comfortable giving him a ton obviously. But, if he IS healthy, he's a difference maker.

    Add Wimbley(if he gets cut) orn Winston and this has been a great FA period. I'm happy we're after Campbell myself, I just hope we don't give him TOO much. But, I'd expect to pay more for him than a McCown type at least. I wonderif we still go after a WR that stretches the field now? Hill makes a lot of sense really. But, I understand if we don't spend a very high pick on one obviously, at this point.

    Wow. Ecstatic. Emery is off to a great start. Sucks Mario is in Buffalo tonight, but we can make 2 or 3 really solid moves for what it'd take to sign Mario. Honestly, I'm in shock over Marshall. He's better than V-Jax anyway.

    We don't HAVE to get either of the big 2 to make the team a legit contender. Prisco said he thinks Tampa gets both V-Jax and Carr, by the way. We could add McNeill, Wimbley, Hawthorne, and one of Manningham, Wayne, or Garcon and be much, much better than we were.

    I think Wayne wants to play in Miami. If we wind up with Mario, Wayne would be a solid guy to add, as long as we drafted a WR very early.

    And who would catch footballs on this team exactly? Dane Sanzenbacher.

    Shefter says he expects Bears to be very, very active. Give me V-Jax, McNeill, Hawthorne, and Boss. Draft DE, WR, CB, and S in top 3 rounds.

    For those who don't really follow the minors closely, prospect rankings vary quite a bit. Baseball America has us as the 12th best system. Law has us around 20, if I remember correctly. But, the key is everyone thinks we have a system on the rise.

    I'll predict V-Jax gets 6/78 with 30 guaranteed. He's far and away the best WR avaiable and has teams with bigtime cap room as well going after him.

    Phil answers a ton of questions and answered one from Toonster since his comment about the OF. Craig asked specifically about his comment in a very well worded question and again, Phil bypassed it. I think it IS Soler, based on this alone.

    Balaguert? I wouldn't think so. Phil has already mentioned Balaguert by name, so putting it in this type of context was very odd. He hasn't answered yet when someone asked if it was Soler, but has replied to others since then. No idea how this works obviously, I know he isn't signed, but is it remotely possible he could get into the country for a few days and work ot for teams?

    The last I read was we were still negotiating with Forte. As for signing both those guys, I said a few days ago it wasn't possible. But if we do wind up cutting Barber and cut Spencer and Spaeth, my guess is we'd be a restructure or two from being able to make it happen. We'd just be done with FA and have to be able to get a few of our own guys back very cheap and rely on the draft to produce 5 or 6 guys that are good enough to be on the active roster every week.

    Well, tomorrow is going to be interesting. We've been mentioned with just about every big name out there, so hopefully we have a good plan and get multiple holes filled. It'd be cool to get Mario, V-Jax, or God forbid.....Both.

    AZPhil mentioned that a tall, RH hitting Latin American OFer put on a power display on Field 1 this morning with the Peoria squad......Soler????

    AZPhil confirmed Maples IS hurt, but hasn't found out what's wrong. Could be a blister or could be something more serious.
