    Mike was, is, and always will be my favorite athlete. In 92? That's before anything came out at all. Playing before the internet was in full effect, social media, cell phones, etc gave him a bigtime pass on a personal level. I agree with Derwood.

    This was a throwaway deal. Neither guy was going to be around when we're good again. Hell, it's good to "lose" a trade every once in a while. Teams will continue to trade with you. So I thank you, Tyler Colvin, for putting up ridiculously unsustainable stats right now, because now the Ned Collettis of the world have no reason to truly fear Theo over the next 3 weeks.

    Underwood is officially signed. Marlins signed Heaney for 2.6. What an odd way to get a deal done.

    Lord no. I'd need Castellanos and Turner, just for Garza. As much as his stock has gone up, Turner's has fallen about as much. I'm certainly not giving up other assets on top of Garza just to get those 2. And I really like Castellanos. Turner? Honestly, he may be slightly more than we could hope for in a one for one deal for Dempster, but it's not ridiculously outrageous at this point.

    I wouldn't be surprised to see them go after Garza bigtime. Bautista made a comment or two that they need to make some positive moves and at worst, their still looking at comp picks, if they can't get him signed longterm. Maybe we'd be able to get a nice haul of their young arms, since they're so far away.

    Marlins beat writer says they offered Heaney 2.6, Callis says he heard it was lower.

    Yeah, no clue what they're doing. I guess trying to bully him into a very low deal.

    Callis just tweeted the Marlins won't offer Heaney close to thepick value and he's going to go unsigned.

    I'd be fine with that return. Selfishly hoping for more, but it's solid. Gould becomes our top pitching prospect immediately. Withrow? What the hell happened to him? Putting him in the pen probably is the right move, but who knows?

    After his struggles in EXST, I'm fine with it, for now. But I'd like to see him bypass Boise and get to Peoria, within a month. I think it's possible anyway.

    Peralta looking good? Thru 6, his stats do for sure. 2 hits allowed, and 4K's. In other news, Torreyes is 2-4 with a double and Szczur is 2-4, with 2 doubles and a steal.

    Kaplan told me he was struggling. I'm already imagining the field day Kaplan has once he hits the show. Articles everyday about how the production is outweighed by his antics.

    Not really, he followed it up by saying he's a name, but he's not really back on the bandwagon.

    Mirotic has serious value alrwady and it's going up. People genuinely can see him as an AS type player. The Bobcat pick will only be top 10 protected at that point. Teague went about 15 spots later in the draft than where some thought he'd go. Taj certainly has value. Deng and Noah? It's not negative value, by any stretch. We've got pieces to land a big name. You can choose to believe it or not.

    What the hell are the Bulls going to trade for Kevin Love? Obviously, it'd be some grouping of Noah, Deng, Mirotic, the Bobcat pick, our own picks, Teague, and Taj. The ammo's probably in there somewhere, if they'd consider dealing him within a year, year and a half. If not, that's pretty much our available assets to go get a different bigtime player.
