  1. Actually, it could easily be Bogaerts or Cecchini. Who knows those guys better?
  2. And another jinx on the Brett K deal.......
  3. Martin with a 3 run homer for Boise. Amaya's 2-2 already. Candelario is out of the lineup tonight.
  4. Torreyes is 3-4 tonight. Really glad to see him hitting.
  5. I think Hoyer said we'd be surprised at HOW big Soler is. Projecting him out, he's going to be a monster physically.
  6. Yeah, the pitching is awful from an upside perspective until our draft picks get going. I'm finding myself hoping Taylor Scott can break out and give us at least one guy outside our draft to put some hope into. If not, Rosario is pretty much all we've got. Wells and Maples being hurt haven't helped this front at all obviously either.
  7. What don't you like about Minor? Just seems very hittable and his control/command has been very iffy at the major league level. I guess he's a possible 3/4 going forward, but it seems like he should be further along at this point, to me anyway. Of course, he's looked great against us.
  8. Turner has supposedly looked very solid his last 3 starts. ABTY, at PSD, said Atlanta has really came in with a good bid. Maybe Minor involved. He cautions not to expect a TON, because of the rental/CBA. Personally, I'm not a fan of Minor and if he's the main piece, I'd hope we get a couple other pieces that at least slot into our top 20-30 range. Hopefully, the Dodgers come out on top here.....
  9. Ofman mentioned Barney could be part of a Dempster deal with Detroit. I'd trade Demp and Barney to get Turner.
  10. Allright Matt, keep this going. Time to show why you're worth someone gutting their system for.
  11. OK, both those make sense. Thanks guys. Now, I fall into the camp of there's no reason to trade him without getting a solid return. He's been too good to give away as it is, on his own, Rizzo not a factor.
  12. Serious question, since I was the one that it'd be nice to keep him behind Rizzo all year: It's not important to have a solid bat behind Rizzo? There's not a reason for pitchers to pitch around him if there's not a solid hitter behind him? Are there stats on this stuff? Obviously, I'm not disputing anyone here and want to learn about this. I truly thought it was important, so if someone can explain why it's not, I'd really appreciate it.
  13. Ofman said Barney's in play with Detroit, I'd gladly trade him and Demp, for Turner straight up.
  14. Demp looked great, that's worth an upgraded prospect from someone damnit.....
  15. Did Demp get a nive standing O after the 6th or anything? Or did the crowd figure he would come back out for the 7th?
  16. Ofman said he's heard Demp would like to be reunited with Lilly, but that Detroit is pushing hard.
  17. Levine just tweeted Dempster is being very deliberate between pitches. Does he look OK out there?
  18. Trying to get more. Turn Crosby into Turner or turn Gould into Eovaldi. A bad outing probably doesn't affect Demp's value, since he's really due for one. Injury is a risk, but I'll defer to our guys making the call.
  19. If it's Detroit, I'd take Crosby over Smyly. Upside is higher. Yeah, the floor is lower too obviously, but I think I'd go that route. And I'm not sure I wouldn't take him over Gould and Withrow. It's a tossup for me. Crosby has the higher upside and is closer to the majors, not to mention being a hard throwing lefty helps his cause too. Gould is projectable, but seems much more like an eventual 3/4 than a potential frontline guy, which Crosby has the potential to become. But his injury history is a red flag. So on most prospect lists, these two guys seem to both show up in the 150ish range. Rightfully so, for varying things. If these are the guys, I'd be happy with the trade. Solid return for half a season of Dempster.
  20. Adam Wilk could also be the lefty he's talking about. As for the Dodgers, he tweeted a couple of days ago Gould and Withrow could be two arms that interest the Cubs, so that could easily be the package from them.
  21. The O's aren't trading Bundy or Machado and they have very little else worth talking about. They [expletive] up all their pitchers. I'm not interested in Matusz or Arrieta.
