  1. I am too. But Gould is fine. He'd easily be our 2nd best pitching prospect, behind Vizcaino. No. He'd be behind Maples and Johnson, at the very least - and in a deep system, a rag-armed guy like Gould might not be in the top 10 pitching prospects. Johnson maybe. Maples is a definitive no, right now. And thefe's not a system in baseball, Toronto included, that Garrett Gould isn't a top 10 pitching prospect for. And he's far from a rag arm.

  3. They've got a problem dealing Olt. I'd be happy enough with Perez, Buckel, and Grimm for Garza though.
  4. I wouldn't have been. I would have been OK with it, but wouldn't have been happy. I definitely would have been happy with what we got for Maholm, in a Dempster deal, but I think we all would have been.
  5. Victorino brought the Phile Lindblom and Ethan Martin from the Dodgers. Solid return for him, in my mind.
  6. Well, you guys got me with Dempster. Can't argue that. That said, I think the odss of Soto having a bounce back, All Star caliber season are slim rnough to where you move him now and give Castillo his shot.
  7. Castillo's never going to be a star, but he's worth some time and effort. He's ready now, so blocking him with an older version who looks to be on the downswing alrwady doesn't make sense to me. Not for what was never going to be a big return on Soto, even if he played decently next year. Last year of contract, questions as to whether he can keep it up, etc. Basically, the return in a best case scenario for him isn't worth keeping Castillo on the bench for another year to me.
  8. There's no doubt Brigham is the best the FO could've done right now, I'm not questioning that. I just wonder if we had kept Geo, tendered him this offseason, and then tried again next year if we could have gotten more if he had a rebound year. Not worth it. You're blocking Castillo that much longer in hopes that a catcher who looks to be in decline has a hot first half.
  9. Oh yeah, I'd love to get him. But think he's probably untouchable.
  10. I'm calling for one of Lindblom or Tolleson to be in a Dempster deal tomorrow. The Dodgers didn't need League.
  11. Gotta be the No one ever on this earth has ever been as fast shtick from KG and the 500 times he's basically mentioned that.
  12. Yeah, Pierce Johnson was a top 30 prospect in the draft, if not for his arm issues late. There were rumors on draft day Oakland was taking him 11th. Torreyes could easily end the year in our top 10. One horribly unlucky month aside, he's been extremely good as a 19 year old playing High A ball. Granted, with the deadline, I'll admit neither of these guys are probably top 10 once we're done.
  13. Toronto has tons of young pitching. Noah Syndergaard throws mid to upper 90's. Has borderline ace potential. Justin Nicolino is a tall, very thin, projectable lefty with excellent control. Aaron Sanchez appears to be their best pitching prospect. Righty, throws mid 90's, control improved quite a bit. Ace potential. All 3 of them are in A ball. They also have John Stilson and Deck McGuire in AA, Stilson's pitched well in his first pro season. Throws hard, may wind up as a back end of the pen guy. McGuire's struggled, but he's got a shot at being a 3/4 guy. Command's been off this year. Adonys Cardona and Antonio Osuna are recent IFA signings that have electric arms and either could wind up as the best pitching prospect in their system. Drew Hutchinson is out with a shoulder injury, but had pitched well in his brief stint in the majors at 20. Sanchez, Syndergaard, and Hutchinson are all definite top 100 guys. Nicolino could be as well. The young IFA guys will be, just not this soon. They also have Jake Marisnick and Anthony Gose. Toolsy as hell CF's. Gose in majors now. Marisnick in AA. Both top 50 guys. Travis Darnaud probably untouchable. Hurt right now, but top 15ish C prospect. Honestly, they are stacked. I'm sure I'm missing a few guys.
  14. Corcino's a little guy, throws really hard. Cueto may be a decent comp. Stephenson was a 1st rounder last year, throws mid 90's. Tony Cingrani is a lefty that's risen quite a bit this year as well. Corcino and Cingrani are probably top 100 guys at this point. Devin Mesoraco would be a damn good get. He's struggled, not playing enough as a rookie for Dusty. But he's a future AS Catcher. Then, there's Billy Hamilton, who I can't imagine they'd trade. But he'd make me like stolen bases again, needless to say.
  15. Brad Lincoln's not being looked at as a starter by the Jays, right?
  16. My guess is Brett's on deck, IF Soriano's dealt. Sappelt comes up if it's just Reed.
  17. way to bring us down Not for long, from the looks of things.
  18. Personally, I put Vizcaino 4th, ahead of Brett. Honestly can't believe this. TJS or not. We either got a TOR starter or a closer. Either way, WOW.
  19. Vizcaino? HOLY [expletive]. TTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOO
  20. Ugh. Graham's not in deal, neither is Martin. AJC guy says it's another reliever, with Chapman. No clue, guys. I'm out of guys I've heard of.
  21. Graham and one of Martin or Merejo is a win for us, if that's it.
  22. Sure I'm sniped but the Braves dude, Bowman, says Spruill NOT in deal. Tells me Graham is.
  23. Another guy is Luis Merejo. Only 17, lefty, pinpoint control out of Dominican, twaring up GCL(or whatever league they have a team in)
