  1. Serves me right for glancing quick. I can't remember, but this is NOT necessarily an indication of how guys are ranked in the overall top 100, correct?
  2. Almora is 2, Soler is 4, and Vogelbach is 13.
  3. I'm sure if I ever get to do it, our ace's arm falls off Opening Day and half our lineup gets Furcaled by May.
  4. Won't, hell, can't argue that.
  5. Eh, live no where close. Instead of seeing them there, I go to DC every year and used to go to Atlanta. Only 2 places I've ever seen them. Hell, I've never been to ANY sporting event in Chicago and haven't spent a week there in my lifetime. But yeah, I hope it's what I think it will be. At this point, it'll likely be renovated by the time I see it anyway.
  6. Hopefully they'd pull their lineup and the Dodgers get an easy one.
  7. I'm not a defensive metric guy whatsoever, don't really know much about them honestly. But, isn't that still basically averagish? If so, that's all I truly hope for out of his defense anyway.
  8. The Fangraphs report made an Aaron Hill reference for Bruno. Does he have 15-20 homer potential? If so, he probably makes a solid jump next year up our rankings.
  9. I've seen the Cubs play 46 games in person, in my lifetime. Never at Wrigley. With the goal of eventually seeing an entire season live sometime within the decade. Wrigley better be what I've thought it was, because even when I've been to Chicago, I've made sure not to see it.
  10. I know what you meant. And I think he would be horrible in that instance. I'll bite. Why?
  11. AZPhil thinks Struck gets our designated starter nod in the AFL and Rhee gets converted to reliever.
  12. Colorado now in 2nd by a half game. I want these next two wins, but all bets are off after that.
  13. Cool concept, but it'd come down to structuring a roster to fit it. Unless it's the typical horrible facilities for the opposition thing, right? Is there anything else even possible to do?
  14. Camp Colvin or whatever the new name is helped out a ton here. He wore down last year pretty badly. His July was very solid this year and while his August was bad, he's finishing up like a star. If Theo was looking at him as a utility guy on a good team, there has to be doubt at this stage. He's a definite starter for someone. The question for us is how do we feel about him 3-5 years from now? If the bat is possible to improve just a tad(give me a .725 OPS), forget trading him. Lock him in for 5 years now.
  15. Yeah, that was my first thought as well. I hope we get a good report on Paniagua from AZPhil. I'm really getting hopeful already with him.
  16. Damn, evidently Volstad was economical as hell today. 116 pitches in 5 innings? Sheesh.
  17. Maybe so, but I bet Rowson sticks around in some role. Maybe the old Von Joshua role possibly?
  18. He may actually benefit from some time off. No clue, but he's pressed all year obviously. As long as they even get a Ryan Sweeney type as a backup plan, I'm OK with going into whats likely another throw away season with him as the incumbent, because of the potential upside involved.
  19. I'd at least like to think any name calling of Kyle, is in complete jest. Sure, there's been times when others have gotten hell thrown down on them here. But Kyle? And this? Nah, Kyle's respected here and brings life to a place that's starved for baseball conversation in a shitty year. Waffle away, Kyle. Not to mention, we want the waffle, becauae nothing Kyle has said is wrong. The waffle, if it occurs with Brett, will be glorious because it will mean Brett has given a legit reason to get excited about.
  20. Is it likely attendance would be hurt at all by moving to any of those places?
  21. Yeah, we started no-K watches in the 6th inning for Brett and I think we threw a party the one game he finished without K'ing in.
  22. I'm sure the K rate can and will drop somewhat. Hell, he's probably K'ing around the same rate as most pitchers do. The issue though is whether the lack of K's lead to less walks as well(very likely)and whether he's hitting pitchers pitches, which leads to not a lot of success once the balls in play. The more agressive approach could lead to more struggles. I hope he can just keep the same approach and get the rate down 10%. We'll have something then. Although the numbers have never been in favor of that scenario.
  23. Is this just a title issue though? If Kenny is their version of Theo now, then Hahn will thankfully have little impact.
  24. Yeah, Rizzo's major league K rate was a tad over 30% last year.
