  1. It is impressive how awful ABTY is at "insidering" the draft. Starting with tweeting picks directly after LaCanfora and missing everything humanly possible prediction-wise.
  2. Kolek, Rodon, Aiken, Hoffman for me, even now.
  3. If you're getting him at 2.5-3 mill and he's worlds higher than 5 on your board.....And 5-25 are extremely close, you certainly can. And probably still get one of your next group too.
  4. I asked that as well earlier. Especially if you can get Hoffman at a large under slot. I'd do it, if the difference from 4 to 5 is huge on your board.
  5. It's weird because this is the first time the Bears have taken exactly who I wanted. Fuller's probably my second favorite high round pick in the last five years besides Alshon Jeffery (good call) and just ahead of the Gabe Carimi pick (whoops). That was how I felt about Bryant last year. I can't remember but I think David Terrell may be the last time that happened for me with the Bears. I wanted Olsen.
  6. Whoever takes Hoffman between picks 20-40 is going to get lauded for having a great draft. If he were willing to take 2.5-3 mill, I think I'd still be interested in him at 4. Especially if our draft board looks like Kiley's, where there's a big separator from 4 to 5 and 5 to 25 are very close anyway.
  7. I'm not counting on Peanut staying healthy. Fuller will get tons of time regardless. One of those DT's in the 2nd and I'm feeling optimistic about the D.
  8. Love the pick. Definitely sounds like he's playing CB. I want Jernigan in the 2nd myself. Hageman or Ward would be excellent as well.
  9. It's not him. LOLOLOL
  10. I hope Beede's control comes back and he pitches lights out between now and the draft. So the White Sox take him and one of the other 3 fall to us.
  11. My best friend and I were jumping on his trampoline back when we were kids, talking baseball. Specifically about Pete Rose getting banned. My buddy goes "Bart Giamatti needs to drop dead". Then he did, same [expletive] day.
  12. Game summary says he hit it on a line drive to the left fielder. Did he line it off the top of the wall? He missed a HR by inches.
  13. Soler had travel issues. Not in starting lineup, will be in uniform.

The White Sox had the farm system in place pre-Hahn that everyone tries to pretend we did pre-Theo/Jed. With the same number of OMG Albatross contracts to boot. Won't argue that. It's a valid point. But I think we're way ahead of them too, as we should be.
  15. If the top 3 pitchers are off the board, I definitely take a signability guy and use the savings later on for high upside arms. I prefer Holmes at the spot myself, but they all should be willing to under slot.

If given the chance to swap every player in our organization for every player in theirs, would anyone do it? I know I wouldn't.
  17. There's no way he lasts to 45. Someone will take a shot on talent alone. Likely a team that has multiple picks ahead of us and can spread out money over a few guys. If he lasts outside the actual 1st, I'll be shocked. And I'm fairly sure the Nats thought that Giolito was likely going to need TJS prior to drafting him.
  18. My only point is that there were multiple reasons as to why Garza had no shot at being re-signed, elbow and attitude. My opinion, in our current financial state, is even if there were no elbow issue, he still would have been dealt. As his attitude may have cooled us on spending big on him. With our need for pitching, my hope is that if Shark is or looks to be a longterm ace in a couple of months, they do what they can to lock him in, as there are currently no red flags whatsoever. Hence, why I don't think it's a guarantee he'll be dealt.
  19. Bengals take OT Antonio Richardson out of Tennessee
  20. With a limited budget, the attitude issue could certainly help decide if you want to give a guy 5/90 or whatever he wanted during the prior offseason.
  21. If you're known as a hothead, has had issues with teammates in the past(even if they became friends) and yell at women in public(mentioned during the Sogard stuff), I think it constitutes an attitude issue that very well could set off red flags. The elbow obviously being the more important reason he was dealt, since it was too risky to worry about the rest.
  22. Attitude issues? Is this because he pointed out the obvious that no smart veterans want to partake in the farce the Cubs organization is performing. No, when his Twitter tirade happened, railing against women, it was noted that this was well known within baseball. You think Garza's misogynist views were unique enough to be considered a red flag attitude problem? You think having those views on women is OK apparently?
