  1. I didn't find any mention of him getting hurt, so hopefully it's so he can pitch in Cincinnati on Wednesday. He threw what he was supposed to today. Planned short outing.
  2. Not until Javy loses his eligibility.
  3. I am really confused...to me, his girlfriend looks like an asian/black mix? Mexican/Black apparently. http://m.tmz.com/#Article/2014/04/26/donald-sterling-clippers-statement-racist-tmz-sports He's denying. With the "I'm not sure if its real or not, but it's not my views" defense. Donald, you [expletive], if you're not sure yourself, if its you or not, how is it a defense? Please get this [expletive] out of the league.
  4. I'm not earmarking anyone as unavailable at 4 until I hear bonus demands.
  5. I'm sure he's been scouted. Have one of Wilken, McLeod, Theo, Jed, or Dorey been to see him? Hasn't been reported, but I'd certainly think so. We don't have reports on where these guys are for each and every outing. Just some recently, mostly Theo and Jed, at that.
  6. Underwood went 3.2, gave up 4 hits, 4 runs(3earned), walked 3 and struck out 3.
  7. Donald Sterling is a pathetic, piece of [expletive]. How in the hell half a day after TMZ breaks this audio, does ESPN or anyone other than Yahoo, even have a story on this?
  8. 379 pitches over his last 3 starts.
  9. Not necessarily. Grant Holmes, Aaron Nola, Beede is still a possibility, wouldn't surprise me if a few other pitchers are in the mix too.
  10. Brandon Finnegan left early after a visit from the trainer.
  11. 4IP, no hits, no walks, 6K's for Torrez.
  12. Rodon has 8K's thru 3, touched 97.
  13. Yet he's still mashing. His K rate is going to be high, but he's still succeeding. If there's an adjustment I've heard he'll eventually need to make, it's that he sometimes holds out too long for the perfect pitch. I'm not worried about him. Javy or Almora either for that matter. This is what Javy does, he'll adjust, as he has each season and everyone that starts dropping him down their lists(last year it was most people) will be thrilled with him again. Almora is a product of just making easy contact. If its in the zone, he hits it. Until he reaches a league he can't do that, he's not going to need to walk much.
  14. He's been extremely hittable. I think we dodged a bullet there. Gray hasn't been great so far this year either, for that matter.
  15. [expletive] cakes; pies are infinitely better. The Cubs can't even do dessert right. It's extremely possible that this cake is a veiled threat. Whether its a threat against the rooftops or Cubs fans, in general, Ricketts appears to certainly be indicating, via cake dumpage, that someone can't have their cake and eat it too. Master psychology, overlord of mind games, is PTR. If anybody was sending messages it was somebody at the Field Museum, and Ricketts was the target. Anybody notable alderman on the Field Museum board of directors? So, is this a business or baseball ops issue? Who is better equipped to interpret cake threats? I feel confident in how the Trib was ran in the past, they paid someone to do it. But was it a made up position, solely a money grab for a high ranking official? Theo, on the other hand is well versed in fried chicken, via Beckett, does that translate to cake as well? Or is meat just too far out of the cake milieu? Does being a chickentist give him the proper background here? I wonder if Sveum would help us, as the overseer of Garza's shaving cream pies? Does shaving cream play a part in all of this? Do we have anyone on the team that's an alcoholic and eats shaving cream from time to time? Would that help? All I want is for the best department available to be on it. Or maybe just put EVERYONE on it, come to a group decision, and attack from there.

  17. There are no shortcuts when eating cake. If you gobble it down, it very likely leads to nausea, making your cake eating experience far less enjoyable. Meanwhile, small, well-timed bites with a slow and steady, even calculated approach, can turn the experience into a worthwhile, memorable experience of eating.
  18. Fear not gentlemen. Ricky's excess bunting will lead To an epic Garza meltdown, completed by giving himself a screaming pie face in the 3rd.
  19. Personally, there's no way I'd give Rose a max deal, if he were a FA right now. Pile on, if need be.
  20. Skins take OT Morgan Moses.
  21. Ricketts is a [expletive] Walmart brand meatball.
  22. Supposedly Houston and Dallas are potential landing spots. I'd never count out LA either, although Kobe's situation is as troubling as Rose's is. But it's shorter, if things go haywire too.
