  1. I feel the same way. However, I feel like at this point, Dempster is definitely in the rotation, whether we like it or not.
  2. No "Lets Go Cubbies" chant?
  3. I personally think there are some players who look straight up goofy in high pants. Lee and Floyd both looked silly on Jackie Robinson Day last year. Picturing Sammy in them? Ew. That being said, most should wear them because it usually looks really sweet.
  4. Meph created a blog making fun of NSBB? And now he's banned?
  5. since they are teammates, and we aren't, there is no way to know he wasn't saying it to his teammates, he was saying it to the media, who then print/show it. but good thing asians can only read numbers right? wow, i think this whole situation is being taken a little bit too seriously Seconded
  6. because the Dusty-run clubhouse was a complete clown show. Steve Stone compliments Roy Oswalt and a fine pitching performance and then he has Alou/Mercker calling the booth to complain? what sane manager would allow that to happen? i don't blame him one bit for quitting....the whole situation was a joke I know, but it seems like some of the people here are saying that Stone is just bitter because he was fired, when that's really not the case, and the Cubs got rid of everyone that was said to be causing problems for him. I think Stone's actually been really positive about the Cubs considering everything that went down. What has changed about Stone is that he doesn't feel a need to disguise his innate "holier than thou" attitude anymore. At least, that's how I see it. I don't enjoy Stone's talk show commentary really at all. He comes off like he's looking down his nose at everyone now. I really didn't clue into that when he was doing color, especially when it was with Harry. I really, really liked Stoney when he was with Harry. He was great, IMO. But he's really changed now. I think I'm going to say it. Oh yes. Wait for it. I like Brenly better than Stone now. whew. there. I said it. I agree completely.
  7. It seems a lot harder to actually attempt to compare them, since they're completely different. Other than the fact that they're both play by play guys for the Chicago Cubs. That's about the only thing. Well, apparently, his "comparison" is that Len Kasper sucks and Pat Hughes is awesome. Isn't that good enough? (Note - Len is awesome) Thanks. Pat Hughes is a hall-of-fame broadcaster and in my opinion, one of the best in the game. Len is just okay, especially when compared to the Cubs' play-by-play man (HUGHES).
  8. I don't really understand the Len love. He's alright I guess... I find his voice to be really annoying -- especially when he's excited. I guess it's hard to not compare him to Pat.
  9. This might seem like nitpicking, but the brand is "Wrigley's," not "Wrigley". The ballpark is named after a man who had his own gum company -- not the gum itself. Think of the difference between "Marshall Field Arena" and "Marshall Fields' Arena" - "McDonald Park" and "McDonald's Park". I find it to be a huge one.
  10. Haha he's biased towards my school
  11. Brent Musburger lived in the fraternity house I am sitting in right now (my house). True story.
  12. Theriot said DeRosa was upbeat, "but nobody enjoys going to the doctor, especially when it has to do with heart." ESPN.com with the unintentional pun. Nice.
  13. I love all of the making fun of someone admitting they were deeply affected by alcoholism
  14. I think he prefers "entrepreneur" :D
  15. Brewers.com has a cool feature where you can click on a section and it shows you the view from the field. It looks like there are a lot of good seats in that park.
  16. Just go to their schedule and pick up a game. I just used that game as an example. Oh I know. I wanted that game anyway though.
  17. Well, I figure that by the last game of the season, either us or MIL (or both) will be going to the playoffs, so the tickets should be in demand.
  18. Where should I sit in Miller Park? I've never been and am not familiar.
  19. Anyone else getting a high transaction volume message?!?!?
  20. Nothing yet... unbelievable. I usually get in in the first 5 mins! Haha
  21. Maybe I should still open my windows and just reload them all hoping it comes back?
  22. Actually.... from about :58 to 1:00 on that video it's really close...
  23. Phantom tag. I agree.
