  1. Basically, you're more than 100 "points" below what the average player is producing. So like Wolf said... you can go over 200, so you can go below 0. yeah, it means you're pretty awful
  2. ...aaaaaaaaaand it starts P.S. I heard Hart requested he be taken out of the game to see Ryleigh dance at Babydollz
  3. ok... are people actually typing "soapdropping" or is that the filter?
  4. Anyone else not like WALL-E? Not only did I find the plot to be oversimplified and boring, I also found it lacking the smart over-kids'-heads humor that made the other pixar movies fun for the whole family. It's like the other Pixars were Seseme Street and WALL-E was The Teletubbies or worse -- Barney.
  5. I don't usually like to log-in at work, but good God -- could your posts be any more useless?
  6. All I know is that I have work tomorrow, and i have to wake up at 6am and that I had 9 beers for no resson. God dmnit. Also, I had to sit nect to a really annoying yankes fan. He used all of the lines about jeter... i couldve made this stuff up -- intangibles, no off the field problems, gamer, and better this year than reyes because he's a hall of famer. GOD! why did we have to lose
  7. I was hooked at the Jeter fist pump 5 seconds in. I'll take the Dane Cook parody, please. This CC's not a music factory... he's a pitching factory
  8. Gives new meaning to the phrase "hang out with my wang out"
  9. Lame: bringing your glove to the game to catch a ball Pathetic: claiming it's for protection against foul balls You're either paying attention and getting out of the way in time or you're not paying attention and getting hit. If you're paying attention and still get hit, either your reaction time sucks or you have really nice seats and can probably afford the reconstructive surgery. It's not about "manning up" and catching a ball with your bare hands; bringing a glove to the park is all about kids having fun dreaming about catching a batted ball. If you want to bring one, go ahead, but just don't tell me it's because you're afraid of getting hit with a ball and a glove is the only way to save yourself.
  10. It never was. Some would disagree. But I've always thought it was fine if you have children with you. No, there's never been any such unwritten rule.No gloves allowed for fans over 12, man. C'mon, you're killing me here. why? this is the stupidest rule ever. Let the youngsters bring gloves in the hopes of catching a ball. Are you really going to bring your glove and snag it away from a little kid anyway? It also makes you look like a huge dork. I laugh at grown men who bring gloves, because they're often the same guys who end up waiting for autographs with the kids outside of the players' parking lot after the game.
  11. You can't compare Ron's celebrating to those guys. Ron usually yells, but these guys are going nuts for 40+ seconds and screaming straight up gibberish. I understand why they're excited, and I'm happy for the Pirates, but don't compare this to Santo.

  13. Thanks lou. At least we have a full bench of pinch hitters. Oh, wait. We don't! We're carrying 13 pitchers! Wtg Lou!!!
  14. Whatever... nothing to get your panties in a bunch over. A bigger crime is naming his daughter, "Ryleigh."
  15. How does that, in any way, conflict with what was discussed in Moneyball?
  16. Now I'm just worried that JH is going to overreact and overpay bigtime. I'm just hoping that he at least target a pitcher that's good, such as Burnett or Harden.
  17. According to a recent ESPN Magazine interview with Mr. Darvish he loves the New England area. If Darvish ends up posting this year the fee will easily surpass $75M. If they wait a few years and Darvish remains healthy that number could swell to $90M. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/eticket/story?page=darvish Yeah, that was a really stupid argument. There are many reasons why he wouldn't want to leave Japan right away -- friends, girls, star-power (which he already has). Saying due to the US government's foreign policy regarding a country in which his dad has probably spent less time in than he has in other countries was a shot in the dark. His dad's a businessman who probably makes a lot of money in Japan, went to Florida State for college, and loves New England. Yu's gonna be over here soon, too.
  18. To start, I'm not terribly upset with the loss tonight, everything considered. However, I was just thinking. Is it just me, or does Marquis have a tendency to have starts like he did tonight -- where he's "just good enough to lose". I feel like he's done that a few times -- gone up against a guy who was dealing and given up just 1 or 2 runs more. Very frustrating.
  19. Tinker is also in the HOF with a 95 OPS+ Ew.
  20. LOL team secretary vs. General Manager. Is it the same in principle? Yes. But don't confuse the guy who gets your family tickets with the guy who gets you paid. It's really sad actually... I feel bad for the guy.
  21. To go along with 10 hits. "If you look at certain numbers, its almost like there's a correlation between base runners and runs scored. That's why you can't trust the numbers, because that's obviously not the case." -Dusty Baker (probably) HAHAHAHHAHA you almost had me
