  1. That would explain a lot.
  2. LOL @ KC having more fans than the Giants
  3. You dont think that Theriot has played a part in the Cubs success this year? Im not saying hes worthy of the award, but he is having a very good year. He has been the most consistent offensive performer on the best team in the NL this year. As for Berkman vs Pujols, Pujols might have better counting stats at this point, but Berkman is outperforming him. Creating more runs, winning more games, better in the clutch. I don't like doing this, but to reiterate my previous post: Pujols has him beat in everything that matters and some of what doesn't: HR, BA, OBP, SLG, OPS, OPS+, EQA, WARP-1, WARP-2, WARP-3, better team. Berkman has the advantage in games played, hits, runs, 2B, rbi, and SB.
  4. I don't get the "nameless" fetish. How does that make them better? Agreed. I thought it was cool at first, but when the cubs rolled them out I really didn't like how they looked.
  5. I don't think it's a concern. While I'm irritated we missed out on a chance to have HFA, winning the world series without it would add some "legitimacy". Either way, if we win, I couldn't care less what critics say, unless it's by a forfeit or some other weird occurrence.
  6. How do you figure? Pujols has him beat in everything that matters and some of what doesn't. HR, BA, OBP, SLG, OPS, OPS+, EQA, WARP-1, WARP-2, WARP-3, better team. Berkman has the advantage in games played, hits, runs, 2B, rbi, and SB, but I don't know how you can give it to him over Phat Albert.
  7. The road greys look like what the Sox used to wear. I, too, am in the "pinstripes or bust" home jersey camp.
  8. Jose Canseco - 132 VINDICATED.
  9. lol that one was a little more serious. I shed a tear
  10. Soriano's a G, and the team MVP, but why N, SBB hates him's a nother story The Cubs win with him in, and they lose with if he's not, he's beloved by all fans, DeRo cheers when he's hot. He's a streaky mo-fo, but he's got lots to show, what matters is clutch, and where he hits in the line up Sor-i-an oooo please win that tro-phyy for the cubbies... [cheers] If Alfonsooo ends up lasssstttttttt. I'll just use point-lessssss statssssss
  11. That and Giambi put up a 1.137 OPS to Ichiro's .838. yeah, but what was the Yankee's record with him in the lineup? that's what really matters (so i've learned) 0-0, but I get the joke.
  12. That and Giambi put up a 1.137 OPS to Ichiro's .838.
  13. if he doesnt win the mvp its a shame and nsbb is stupid, cause it's one, two, three posts im banned :beg:
  14. The Cubs are 11-9 when Blanco starts!
  15. That sure as hell would've made it hard for me to be as involved in all of my activities. Between sports, clubs, concerts I would have been be getting home pretty late each night.
  16. I couldn't help myself. Nono, not yours, his.
  17. Damn, that last post really felt like a "fine, I'm done arguing... you guys are idiots. I'm leaving."
  18. yes, but it's arguable that he's one of the top 5 players on his team Just ask Lou and DeRo
  19. i bet if you asked a player and manager from every team, they'd offer support for soriano as MVP too. But none of it has any merit? I can't believe, with the numbers as plain as day as to what Sori brings to the team (Win/loss record, personal stats), you ignore them as nothing. WOW!! ok, you're obviously trolling because nobody can be this good at misunderstanding things. So why doesn't he deserve consideration then? He's not one of the top 5 players in baseball. He's not one of the top 5 players in the NL. He's not one of the top 5 players in the NL Central.
  20. FWIW, I compared Soriano to Pujols and you replied "what does that have to do with anything?" Then ignored my response.
  21. Outstanding logic  Comparing a pitcher to a position player. LOL. 48-15 with him, 28-33 without him. Nuff said. Yup. And he really sets the tone for the offense in those games. Like I said, outstanding logic. Who cares what he does to help the team, they are obviously 48-15 with him and a horrible 28-33 without him. Are you trying to tell me that there is more to a player's value than W/L record in games they appear in? I put his personal stats up as well. Of course, you choose to ignore them, so carry on with Marmol for MVP!! Wooo hooo! No I saw them but didn't feel they added to your argument. His projected 162 game HRs and RBIs? His relative place among leadoff hitters? And your RPG argument didn't really prove anything, since you chose to ignore several times my points about the fact that there were other factors at play besides Soriano being out. Hmmm, Piniella's and DeRo's comments weren't good enough for you either? Lmao, so if a teammate and/or manager says that a team's best player was missed when he was out and they're glad to have him back, he's MVP? Then again, when Pujols was out, TLR and Troy Glaus said they were glad he was hurt because he's not a gamer and they would still be awesome without him.
  22. Much shorter then that weak retort that you came up with. OOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
  23. What does it say for "By Whom Employed"?
