No offense, but if Rosenthal said "top positional player, like Carl Crawford or Jeff Francoer" how do you translate that to an offer of Pie and a pitching prospect? You shouls ammend it to say hopefully Hendry will offer Pie and a pitching prospect so Flordia can laugh at us. If they are looking for players like Crawford or Francoer for Willis, that means they are looking for young players with established success in the majors in an exchange for Willis. The Cubs might could package Murton for him, but I doubt Murton has that much value. Well, you know the natural homer in me wants us to go after him, so I thought if they they're looking at a toolsy CF'er like Crawford, maybe we could assemble a package involving a player who projects to be similar to Crawford who will be on a very small contract for a long time. I naturally assumed they'd be interested in a pitching prospect since they are actually trading their main pitcher, so it certainly couldn't hurt. I'm not saying the Marlins would do this, but if a pitcher (who albeit is a little overrated, but still very good) like Dontrelle is available, we better at least give them a call and see how high they are on certain players of ours, rather than sit on our ass.
