  1. 2 K's in the 1st for Guz! Cubs coming up
  2. Haha that is great. But why do they allow that on youtube but not the Pittsburgh parrot on Cliff's homer? I doubt this guy got the express written consent of Major League Baseball (damn, I love saying that).
  3. Haha. That reminded me of the game a year or two ago when the guy caught a HR ball, put it in his pocket, and took out another to throw on to the field all in one motion in like 3 seconds. Like he somehow was expecting that to happen.
  4. A storyline behind the hole Vitters thing that I find ironic is how Pittsburgh had seemed set on him for a long time now. Funny how we already stole their 3b of the future, and we might do it again (even though we might switch his positions.
  5. I don't want to directly post any of this since you need to be a BA member to get it, but if you go to this Cards board they frequently update what BA and sites like those have to say. If you go to this link you'll see BA's latest update (draft rankings) with the blurbs that they have on each. http://www.stltoday.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=437387&postdays=0&postorder=asc&&start=488 Vitters has had pnuemonia and just got back into action recently, homering twice on May 2nd.
  6. From the guy who runs brewerfan.net
  7. 2 innings away from throwing a really good, mistake free, superb, nothing wrong, excellent game. What's the word i'm looking for again?
  8. Wong (NYY) perfect through 5
  9. I was just thinking this while watching him homer today: When (if) he hits the one to put him in 1st, are we looking at the most expensive ball in history? Worth more than McGuire and whatever the BoSox winning ball went for? I see we've got them at home in July; might have to grab some bleacher tickets for the small chance to come out of that scrum with the money ball.
  10. Just going to say that. On a roll... BTW, who are you on realgm? I'm Ryguy24
  11. Colvin now batting .338 with a .373 OBP in 77 AB's. 14 K's/4 BB's
  12. I remember hearing basicly the same things about Harvey when he was drafted. Look, i'm not saying Vitters will or won't be a bust, but that's a pretty weak argument for or against it. Just like you can say you've heard the same things about Harvey, I can say i've heard the same things about ARod and Delmon Young.
  13. Here's a recent write up from Sports Illustrated a couple of days ago: And from BA:
  14. From Rise Magazine (before Vitters has what appears like succeeded expectations in his senior year) http://www.risemag.com/main.cfm?actionId=globalShowStaticContent&screenKey=InTheMag&articleID=7786&categoryKey=Next Arod comparison... These pics aren't showing the entire body in the motion, but their swings do look pretty similar: http://www.schoolsports.com/images/FE/chain195siteType8/site161/client/Nov06_Next_Vitters.jpg http://www.schoolsports.com/images/FE/chain195siteType8/site161/client/Nov06_Next_ARod.jpg
  15. Satalmachia (sp) for Jacque? I really don't know a bunch on him but I remember everyone here always wanting to trade for him since Mccann is blocking him.
  16. Admit I don't know too much about Vitters before this. Anyone with a closer connection? It says something that they are even considering him to be a better hitter than Wieters.
  17. Wieters should definately go above Vitters, but if Wieters and Price are gone Vitters should get strong consideation.
