why anybody would ever trust Edinson Volquez is beyond me

best comment i saw yesterday: "The Bunt for Ned October"

at the very least i think it pushes the timeline back i don't personally scout Bryant as a league-average OBP guy, mind you
-
MLB average is .315 or something. The rebuild can't be a success with Bryant as an average or very slightly better OBP guy with defensive value and insane power? 'insane power' amounts to .250 ISO in today's game .325 OBP limits assumes BA cap of like .240...so yeah, if he's hitting .240/.320/.490 he's barely a league average LF - you're in the 2014 Dustin Ackley / Martin Prado neighborhood in value and this is a guy who seems to be considered franchise cornerstone #2

if he's under .325 then this rebuild most assuredly becomes a failure

Derek Norris is the new Dan Uggla

it's really too bad for the Royals that Wade Davis isn't allowed to pitch before the 8th
-

Brandon [expletive] Moss.

Michigan's response to the controversy
-
incompetence more so than recklessness, imho he & Brandon can't be fired fast enough
-
yeah, i really had no idea why that was/is a penalty

javi baez deep concern and probably giving hope up thread
sneakypower replied to treebird's topic in Chicago Cubs Talk
baseball doesn't make any sense and we went a 3/4 season playing .500 ball despite some hideous performances from the likes of Baez, so who even cares all that much just sign Lester, a top-flight RP and maybe look for a CF and stack up an unimpeachable roster elsewhere where Javy can be gravy if he figures it out this is presuming his trade value isn't that of a perceived top-10 prospect; otherwise, just trade him, please -
congrats snood, KU surely doesn't have the worst offense in the country anymore
-
how were we ever 14 point favorites in this game when we'll be lucky to even score twice

Peterson got dropped in my league is there really that small of a chance he's going to return this season, or should i be sinking a decent amount of my FAAB on him?
-
that kills any Torres in the top 100 talk, for BA at least
-
I hate Richardson, but I may still be really bitter over last year yeah, he's terrible, but he's probably an inevitable Ahmad Bradshaw injury away from top-10 status
