  1. At likely FA prices the #46 pick is probably worth upwards of 5 million. Not enough to be a primary consideration, but more than 'basically be ignored' or 'who gives an expletive'. you'd probably expect around 2 career WAR from that pick http://www.hardballtimes.com/how-much-is-a-draft-pick-worth-in-2014/
  2. i feel like 3/4 of a season with .500 record qualifies
  3. The Bills' usage of Spiller is infuriating. They put Fred Jackson on the field in 2-minute spots, which seems to be exactly when you'd want Spiller on the field. In an unrelated story, I have owned Spiller every year of his career. in 2-minute spots you usually want the better pass protector, unless a chasm exists in respective receiving ability, which doesn't here
  4. ...ncaaf abstinence alliance?
  5. i think i want Dan Mullen
  6. did they at least show viewers where the pitcher plays on the baseball field?
  7. the results are in, amigo, what's left to Ponder?
  8. that second quote makes him seem like our FO's dream target
  9. Sankey over Richardson or Vereen is the right call, right?
  10. road game lost by 21 at home defense didnt force a punt all last game I know the panthers have a ton of issues with injuries, suspensions and poor play too but I don't think its insane that they are favored. they did just destroy the 3-1 Lions a couple of weeks ago (albeit followed up with 2 crappy performances) 'destroy' seems like a strange characterization Lions played them pretty even (yardage, TOP) but mostly unenforced mistakes (TD drop, RZ fumble, missed FGs) were the difference that should bode well for the Bears, following your logic
  11. "hit on a defenseless receiver" is what i'd expect to see called and smack, something i've learned is to *never* ask if your program is at rock-bottom
  12. i would not trade McKinney for Denard Span, no siree
  13. that gif's probably a penalty in the NFL
  14. why anybody would ever trust Edinson Volquez is beyond me
  15. best comment i saw yesterday: "The Bunt for Ned October"
  16. at the very least i think it pushes the timeline back i don't personally scout Bryant as a league-average OBP guy, mind you
  17. MLB average is .315 or something. The rebuild can't be a success with Bryant as an average or very slightly better OBP guy with defensive value and insane power? 'insane power' amounts to .250 ISO in today's game .325 OBP limits assumes BA cap of like .240...so yeah, if he's hitting .240/.320/.490 he's barely a league average LF - you're in the 2014 Dustin Ackley / Martin Prado neighborhood in value and this is a guy who seems to be considered franchise cornerstone #2
  18. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmfXEs3DG08
  19. if he's under .325 then this rebuild most assuredly becomes a failure
  20. Derek Norris is the new Dan Uggla
  21. everything these three announcers say is so terribly wrong it's maddening
  22. next up: a glowing baseball
  23. jamaal charles :D
