I have vague memories of a few of those happening in the Dusty years. Didn't Clement have one going in Puerto Rico that felt like he was getting shelled through 5? it seems to me he had a no-hitter but got pulled after 5 because he walked about 17 people Yeah, I was at that game, That was the one where the fly ball landed in the Bermuda triangle between Agon, Aramis and Alou.
When I was a kid the ASG was the coolest thing around. There was no inter-league play and little national TV coverage of baseball if you lived outside of a big city market -- it was a chance to see players and match ups you otherwise would never see. Now though, it's slightly more interesting for me than the NBA ASG, and I hate the NBA.
They aren't dongs when the Cardinals hit them. They need a term that cements their inferiority Dings. Yes, point taken. Lol, premise stands though that they can be a very dangerous lineup
The Cards to their credit do have a lot of dongs in their lineup with Jerko, Grill Chick, Piscotty, Moss, Carpenter, Etc. They don't have much else but they can explode pretty quickly.
In this order: Bryant, Rizzo, Jake I'm thinking Rizzo -> Willson -> Bryant I don't think Matheny or Wainwright stoop low enough to throw at a pitcher if they do decide to throw at someone. Clint Hurdle says hello.
“Give our guys credit, that’s the kind of moment that propels you,” Maddon said. “We haven’t had a walk off at home yet.” What is he talking about? What about the Javy HR against Washington?
the problem with this poem is it speaks to fleeting empires that were built with great hubris but reduced to ashes. Im kinda hoping our empire lasts at least 6-10 years......
