  3. Yes, and with all the off days it means he's pitching about every other day... he'll be fine. Not to mention a lot of his outings have been pretty quick.
  4. It's gotta suck being 40-something and not having the roids anymore. I've seen at least three balls that were caught on the warning track... last year, with the roids, those were probably home runs. Dude is probably still on HGH, for which there is no test too.

  7. Yep, and with Pagan probably DLed, Jacque maybe DLed (and struggling at the least), and Mabry dinged up, I think Pie will get a decent amount of ABs at least for the next week or so if he's called up. I really doubt they'll let him rot on the bench.

  11. Z wasn't "big Z" at that point. Wood was starting game 7/game 1 WS. Prior was cruising. Farnsworth could be wild. Jo Blo was smoke and mirrors. Clement was hurt I believe. Estes was the starter in the pen. :twisted: As ESPN Classic said, if Alou doesn't throw a hissy fit about the Bartman ball and just laughs it off, we end up winning.
  12. Yeah Prior had a ton of hype, plus the "he has perfect mechanics, they analyzed it with computers and his are the best of all time so he'll never ever get hurt, blah blah blah" factor which puts him above Hernandez, imho.

  21. We have a day off tomorrow... shouldn't be a big deal. Anyway, did anyone thing the crowd reaction/tension in this game/energy makes this feel like a playoff game in April? That reaction to the Granny is reminicent of the crowd when Woody hit a HR in game 7, though obviously not QUITE as raucous. It just feels like a playoff game to me. Same camera shot as the Wood HR, that's probably why.
