  1. hahaha Auburn
  2. -That US midfield is weak, but I'm looking forward to the Boss/Ream pairing against a SA's top side. -Mikey scored the second in 'Gladbach's 4-0 win over Koln today, and Stewie scored his first Prem goal in Bolton's 3-2 win over Wolves.
  3. That would be a very rash decision on his part. I don't think he's ready for the EPL. He needs more experience-decision making in the final third is still on and off.
  4. I hope they focus on gearing up for CONCACAF Champions League. All 3 away legs have been ridiculously great. End to end, open play, no bunkering.
  5. Can't believe RSL is going to lose. Best team in the league out.
  6. Dallas' Chelsea-esque diamond is absolutely tearing RSL up right now. FCD has an embarrasment of riches as far as quality young players. They have like 3 academy players that haven't played a second this season that could probably contribute to other teams.
  7. Awesome crowd in Sandy, UT tonight.
  8. And Columbus chokes their way out of the playoffs, losing 2-2 (4-5 in PKs) Brian Carroll put his PK about 55 feet over the bar. Columbus had chance after chance after chance. Here's hoping Schelotto stays stateside and becomes a coach. Great player.
  9. Gee, wonder who Milan will side with? That ends the mystery of what will happen with him when the winter transfer window opens. Still, would love to see Gooch owning on Ibra.
  10. That was a fantastic game. Convey twice? He SKINNED Ream on the 2nd, and delivered the assist on Wondolowski's winner. Henry had a chance to level; a golden, golden chance with a clear header inside the six, and put it over. Incredible match. Aguedelo is going to be a player.
  11. What an self important little bitch.
  12. YESYESYESYESYES Some chick in Seattle needs to take one for the team.
  13. I wish every crowd were like Seattle.
  14. Squad 6 is awesome.
  15. The RSL/FCD series is fantastic. After both sides went to 10 men in the 2nd, FC Dallas' Avila struck a wicked, wicked shot to go up 2-1 late, Ned Grabavoy blew a high-school level chance to equalize in the 90th minute, and the return leg is almost guaranteed to be epic. RSL just don't lose at Rio Tinto, and FC Dallas is really good.
  16. Bizarre stuff in the Spurs-United game. Nani gets hauled down with no call, Gomes assumes it's a free kick, puts the ball down, and Nani just walks up and kicks it into the net. Goal stands, 2-0 to United. Chicharito is really good.
  17. Both Dempsey goals were fantastic. Salcido provided the cross on the first, and the celebration after was pretty great. CONCACAF reppin'.
  18. Lol, Mastro with the Michael Bradley-esque late run finish. Colorado's strikers are very good MLS players.
  19. Saborio or Lindpere are great candidates for Newcomer...Henry shouldn't be on there. He's played marginally more minutes this season that I have, and the biggest impact he has had was injuring Kevin Hartman. The coach of the year award is stacked. You can't go wrong with any of the three. Weak attendance in Colorado for the playoff opener.
  20. There is really no reason that any sport in 2010 shouldn't have replay. It was a hell of a lot of fun reading soccer fans defending their sport's refusal to use instant replay or anything like it early this summer, arguing that the arbitrary nature of blown calls was a plus. Then the US played in the World Cup. To be fair, we just need goal line technology.
  21. it was obviously knox's fault. I know, but the legion of stupid fans will be on Cutler, just like they blamed Rex for the line disintegrating and Kreutz being massively overrated and at fault for a fair number of those fumbled snaps.
  22. this is glorious. i hope rex is on the Washington sideline laughing.
  23. I would love to know why Rooney changed his mind.
  24. Look at how good English-based players are in international tournaments. They suck.
  25. From the USMNT perspective, I'd prefer he not go on loan nor get sold to the EPL. I want as little wear and tear on him as possible between now and 2014. He's basically played the past 2 years straight, and looks heavy-legged and exhausted. Let him rest. Couple other thoughts: -Wayne Rooney is an idiot. An absolute jackass. I'm still stunned he released a statement himself as opposed to just letting his people do the talking. Its a long time til January, but I hope Sir Alex sells him then instead of letting it fester. Also, Everton included a sell-on clause of 25% after $25m, so a Rooney sale would potentially impact any chance Moyes moves on LD. -I've been watching a lot of MLS lately. Chris Wondolowski is a very, very interesting player. He's scoring a ton of goals, is 2 years younger than Buddle at 27, and has excellent, excellent technique. His footwork in the 18 is no-ish great. He's a guy I want to see at the next level to see if he can contribute.
