  1. Oh come on, homer. A healthy Griffey will be a far superior SP than Edmonds. Good lineup!
  2. I'll save my excitement for the Glenallen Hill signing.
  3. Can't be -- I like boobs.
  4. Took me a minute, thought you were referencing your pessimism for the A's opening day.
  5. I believe that would be the same as me. Yeah, but you can't hit. Sure can, batted over .400 in my fast pitch league last year.
  6. I believe that would be the same as me.
  7. Who are these guys? Never heard of 'em. They're typo versions of Carlos Zambrano and Ryan Sanburg! Ah, but what about Ryne Sandberg?
  8. More downgrades.....Morris replaced with Ponson AND Tavarez replaced with Looper. I agree. I don't think they're going to run away with it this year.
  9. If Rolen is not 100% If Eckstein comes back down to earth If Edmonds is on the decline If Carpenter comes back down to earth A few ifs to go along with an overall weaker lineup (no Grudz, Walker, Sanders), and this division could be anyone's. I still think they are the favorites, but it's not too much of a stretch to think the Cubs can take it.
  10. I don't think it's obvious that the Astros will be in it. They had an unbelieveable run with their pitching last year that I don't foresee with Clemens being gone and Pettitte pitching way over his head. Their offense is probably going to be worse than ours. 4th or 5th place wouldn't surprise me from them.
  11. Why would you hope he's up and down the dl? Why???
  12. Pagan will be ROY and Cy Young in 2006. Mark my words.
  13. I'll figure out where to put who when they're actually competing for a job.
  14. I think we are in that "there's no way in hell this can be happening" sort of way.
  15. But maybe the mother kept him away for most of it until figuring out the PR from this story could help get more money. I'm not buying that. His quotes do not strike me as coming from a father who has been desperate to see a child over the years.
  16. She's not asking for a house, a Lexus, and an Ivy League education. She's asking for CC, a truck, and a computer on top of the fact that her father has refused to see her for her entire life.
  17. Because HE IS HER FATHER. Just because your parents shafted you doesn't mean everyone else should suffer. 70 g's @ year plays for a lot of braces and barbie dolls. And $16MM a year will pay for a lot of CC.
  18. Because HE IS HER FATHER. Just because your parents shafted you doesn't mean everyone else should suffer.
  19. She should, and he should pay for his daughter to go to CC. Regardless of what he's paid until now, he's still the child's biological father. If he can't deal with that, he should have kept the Little Unit in his pants. 20. Jerk. This is the part that I found the most fascinating:
