    With modern advances in air travel, I would think it wouldn't be too difficult for him to show up every 5th day. :wink: why that would require him to pitch every 2.5 days between Seattle Mariners and the LA-cago CUBangels thats right up Dustys alley!!! And with our new bullpen, we can afford to have him only pitch 3 innings or so.

    In Varitek's defense, he hasn't had much opportunity to catch Wakefield. Mirabelli was and has been Wakefield's personal catcher. Catching a knuckleballer is no easy chore, even if you are an outstanding defensive catcher. Varitek made it look like catching a fly with chopsticks. And we all know there's only 2 people who can do that.
