    As for Soriano blocking Pie, I was referring to the comments Hendry made about signing Soriano to play "1 position" without stating specifically which position it would be but later alluding to RF or CF (it was posted somewhere, maybe the Soriano signing thread). I took that to mean Soriano won't be happy to play CF one season then LF another, and RF still another, and since he's here for 8 seasons, I'd rather keep him happy. I agree with your sentiment about Jones. It is, after all, his contract year, so playing poorly and/or pitching a public fit is probably not in his best interest. That said, it wouldn't be the first time a star publicly feuded with management and caused a stink in the clubhouse despite being a FA within a year or two (Nomar in Boston, Sammy in Chicago, Terrell Owens in football does it every year). I'd probably bet Jones won't make too much noise, but we'll have to hope Hendry knows Jones well enough to make the right call one way or the other. I thought Jones signed a 3 year deal? He did.

    His house would be burned to the ground, his kittens stomped, and he'd be thrown into the river with alligator bait wrapped around his body if he did that. Not happening. After NO fixed the Super Dome for him, there's just no way. That entire city would hunt him down and chop him into little pieces. It would make Modell look like the Pope. Ya, I lived in cleveland area when it happened and we thought the same thing and the NFL sided with Modell. His family is still not welcomed in that city. How is being banned from Cleveland a bad thing?

    Way too much. I think Boggs could out-hit Sammy. Easily... however I was referencing an old Denny's commercial where Tony Gwynn is giving a press conference about how he was traded for Sammy Sosa and they asked what else and he said "Some scrambled eggs" or something. It was to promote their grand slam baseball cards and stuff. I'll never forget the end where he and Sosa are walking down the corridor and Sammy says in his broken english "Don't take it so hard, Tony! I got traded for Wade Boggs, and a side of rice pilaf!" Good times. Doh take ee so harr Tony. One of the greatest commercials in the history of television.

    Aren't they ripping off the "Who Dey?" of last year's Bengals? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. The Bengals are the ones who ripped it off. "Who Dat?" comes from a song that came out in 1981 called "Who dat say dey gonna beat dem Saints?" I'd like to thank the 2 of you for making me feel old. Why are you thanking me? I'm the one who informed him about the past. You dropped the 1981 bomb.
