    Nate, the Kernels are a 20 minute drive for me, but I've never been there. Since it looks like I'll be able to attend at least 1 of the Chiefs game this time around, who are some of the position players worth watching that haven't already been mentioned?

    If he was lucky (and he probably should have given up a run or two today) then it's the Cardinals hitters fault. It's not like they hit it hard right at people all day-pretty much every time they got runners on, they either struck out or hit a soft ground ball. So Pujols should be more concerned about that than anything Marquis threw. How many good starts in a row does Marquis have to have before we stop saying "lucky"? 98, if he makes as many starts over the next 3 years as he did the last.

    If only the offense and Z came around, we'd be in pretty good shape. And really, really good shape if we'd let Gooz pitch instead of Miller.

    In that case then, can you pinpoint what is wrong with him this year? His bat seems slow through the strike zone to me and he has a lot of check swings and weak swings and seems to seldom hit a ball hard. He hasn't had consistent playing time since the season started.

    I think Pie is the one getting sent down, and Jones is still probably the one on the block. I don't see Murton going anywhere, minors or traded. I agree with jaxxradio that he's a 20-25 HR, 310/380 kind of guy.

    With all of Ronny's shortcomings (and there seems to be plenty), he's still better than Tomas Perez. But I generally agree there's something to the thinking that Piniella feels neither Theriot nor DeRosa can play SS.
