  1. Huh? Like swinging bunt and he ran really, really fast? Or he's batting 8th and doubled? He's batting 8th and doubled. It took me a minute to figure it out, too. I'd like to see the 1st one. I don't care who did it, I think it'd be hilarious.

  3. Yes, and Gooz will likely take the start the next time through.
  4. this post is awesome. i laughed very hard at it. thanks. anyway, i just find it pretty rude that everyone does that just to rub it in to someone posting a thread (especially when search doesn't work) that "omg i read the board more than you lolz you're stupid for posting this because it's already somewhere else - maybe even buried in an 80 page thread!" but post counts are more important to a lot of people, so whatever... Making a post calling stupid posts stupid is different how?
  5. I shall put no direct blame on Dusty Baker for what happened. My labrum was torn to hell, and I threw 0 pitches in 2003. Had Wood and Prior been yanked after 85 pitches in each of their starts, they could still have the problems they have today. The excessive pitch counts probably exacerbated the problem, and Dusty made a lot of stupid decisions on when to remove pitchers, but there's no guarantee it wouldn't have happened under anyone else's watch.
  6. I meant, were there any more details about what steve stone said? Because it's not going to be more than a steve stone bash in here anyway. If we had reasons for WHY steve stone said that. It would be easier to discuss. This isn't quantum physics. Do you agree with Stone's statement or not?
  7. Sure, but it happens to everyone. It's not as though he's had 7 or 8 no-doubters that have been pushed back in.
  8. Am I the only one who's noticed how bad Jeff Weaver has been over the past few years?
  9. That might be the core of a deal, but I would think it would take some tweaking since Zambrano (although a possible free agent)>Santana and Murton (so far in the majors)>Wood. I was under the impression that Wood will be the far superior player, if not this year than in the future. You're right. But we already have a SS.
  10. yeah i think a lot of us agree that this would be best, unfortunately the Marlins and Yankees don't agree I bet the Yankees might agree, especially with their pitching in shambles right now. yeah and Z would fix that how? It would be a higher profile shambles.
  11. I predicted a perfect game for the last Zambrano start, so this time I'm calling for his shortest and crappiest outing of the year. 2 IP, 4 H, 6 BB, 2 HBP, 10 ER, 1 K
  12. http://mlbcontracts.blogspot.com/2000/04/2007-free-agents.html So, not very good... I'd almost call it ugly.
  13. Who gives a crap what side of the plate a guy hits? I don't care if the Cubs have all lefties or all righties as long as they hit. What side of the plate a guy swings from is right up there with one of the most silly ideas in baseball. Lou Piniella cares. He plays the lefty/righty odds straight by the book. I don't see why it's silly - better odds is better odds. I suppose you want Jacque Jones hitting against lefties? See Ohman, Will.
  14. Except Joe Morgan of course who said he had never seen four players hit homers in a row before. He doesn't watch any games he doesn't announce. I wonder if he owns a television How else would he watch replays of games he announced?
  15. Always? http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/boxscore?gameId=270413116
  16. Nice shot of Floyd's lone home run. That 647 OPS and lack of power have me all excited.
  17. It definitely has the potential. But that Mulder deal was still really, really bad.
  18. I get all emotional when teh cobs go deep 4 times in a week.
