    I don't see Tampa winning 2 more, and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see them lose all 3. I honestly don't see them beating Detroit, and I doubt they do anything in New Orleans.

    $5 million in 2012 is cheaper than $5 million now. It also would be very advantageous if the team doesn't contend and Pena is traded mid-season. True, a team would only pick up $2.5 mil instead of $5 mil at the deadline. Could net us a better prospect, potentially. and still be on the hook for $5 mil more

    that's what annoys me about people who want to write off next year and "save" all this money to spend big in 2012 or 2013. first of all, you're going to lose money if you suck next year. second of all, if you suck it's going to make you less attractive to FA's. and finally, who the hell do you think they're going to spend all this "saved" money on?     I'll believe this in September when Meyer is not coaching Florida in the opener. Sounds like he was back in the hospital the week of the Georgia game. If thats true then I think he is gone for a year or so to get things worked out. He'll be in Denver where that thin mountain air will help cure what ails.

    They're upset because their AD has been talking the whole time about spending big money on the hire to get a big name. He didn't do Kill any favors with the buildup, nor in the press conference. Yeah, he really pulled a 180 with the hire after some of his initial comments, but I think he got a good coach. I'm sure it would be quite difficult to get a big name to take that job.

    I'm not sure where the best place for this is, but Harold Reynolds and Mitch Williams are so unbelievably terrible. They are verging on Morgan/McCarver bad. Holy crap, MLB Network, you have certainly done plenty of bad to go along with your good. You know it's bad when you start wishing for Dan Plesac and Sean Casey to get more air time. Honorable mention goes to Chris Rose and Kevin Millar.

    I couldn't disagree more. DJK is most definitely not smart or clean-cut (which should now be obvious). I'm honestly stunned he made it through nearly 4 full seasons without being dismissed from the team.
