    He'll get a 1 yr deal worth 1.25 mil with incentives that can push that as high as 1.6 mil. Club option for year #2 at 1.5 mil (1.75 with incentives). Heck, I voted for less than 4/40 (4/36-38.), but I'm quite sure he'll get twice that now that I said it...

    I concur. I have a feeling Beckett and Burnett will both prove to be a bit overrated by not getting all those starts at the Fish palace.

    Welcome aboard. I agree that there would have to be a better deal available for Abreu. If that goes down, I will personally slap JH silly for not one-upping the O's. And yes, I think Kelton is probably doomed to be a career minor leaguer.

    Agreed. I don't think I could handle another season of watching Clement walk the bases loaded and then strike out the side every other inning. Or take a no-hitter into the 6th and have to come out because he's walked 7, threw 125 pitches, and we're trailing 2-0.

    There's already a team in Seattle. I don't think a second would go over all that well. My guess is Orlando. Sure, awfully close to Tampa, but the tourists alone should keep the stadium full throughout the season.

    Hate to give credit to another Big Ten-Eleven team, but Joe Pa had a fabulous season with a whole lot of young ones and a wicked defense. Scares me to think this may just be the beginning.

    Did Levine say anything about the Cubs or Sox possible interest in Bill Mueller? Yes, he mentioned him as going to the Sox or to the Cubs as a role player. I believe that's how he worded it. That's one guy I'd welcome back with open arms. 1. Great insurance for ARam 2. Good backup for 2B 3. Pushes the Gremlin a little bit further out the door.

    I'd rather have Castillo and Cedeno than Furcal and Cedeno. Join. I do believe Hendry has a plan. I just don't like it. IMO, the biggest gaping bleeding hole on this team is OBP. I don't believe Hendry sees it that way (except for MAYBE at the lead-off spot). We currently have zero right fielders on this team and Hendry allegedly is going to rely on a trade to fill that hole when a premier RFer is available in exchange for exactly zero players right now. Sure, but that Giles bum only played in 158 games last year and 159 the year before. And what's with that .955 career OPS? Seriously, how could he not be priority #1?

    And the 3 of them are mediocre players in what way? Who was talking about mediocrity? you were talking about jerks. Sorry, I thought the mediocrity was implied by comparing BH and Neifi. So you weren't saying that a bad attitude was a negative to be considered when deciding which players you want? wow, did I misread that If you were paying attention to any of the other posts, you would have noticed that I implied it may have been a deciding factor in determining which mediocre players to keep. Why is everyone so argumentative for no reason? Are you related to BH?

    Exactly. If they were only broadcast once a week on a local station in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, I couldn't care less if they won it all...
