  1. It would take a bit of a miracle. Rodelo has to lose both, Sanitizers have to lose one as I have the tiebraker with both. Finishing with Calvinball will not help my odds...unless he rests for the playoffs :) Well, I've got some pretty horrid pitching matchups that week, so there's definitely a chance. You've got to be HBC's biggest fan these last two weeks, as you basically need him to sweep rodelo and abuck.
  2. OSU is all but a lock to make the BCS title game. What a shitshow for a schedule.
  3. I don't know how you've done it, bukie. You have played the weakest schedule (150 points lower than the next closest team) and yet you finish with the two lowest-scoring teams. Nice set up. Defense wins championships. blind luck helps
  4. I think that's right. then raw would have to beat rodelo to get in (raw would have the tiebreak based on division record). If raw beats you this week, then you're out because rodelo has the tiebreak over you. I'm not even sure if dealers can get in. I guess if you lose both your weeks and kid loses both of his, then dealers can get in if he wins out (dealers has the tiebreak over kid).

  6. Maybe I'm wrong. I thought the top seed in each div got a bye and the next two teams in each div played the first week of the playoffs. Title round is 2 weeks long. Am I off?
  7. Winding down. Still 4 teams with a shot at the last 2 spots in the East. abuck and rodelo both have to play Dblock once more. Dealers can sneak in if he sweeps the last 2 weeks and two others stumble. 2 teams are locked in to the playoffs in the West, but I think Tuna has a chance to steal Illness's last spot. NSBB can also take the top seed with a little help.
  8. Loses his best start so it might.
  9. You and imb road tripping to football mecca for the OU/ND game? just because andy went there for his honeymoon does not make it a mecca No really you should go. They have these great scissor lifts that give you a great view of the game. Go up as high as possible for the best view.
  10. 3rd highest as of this moment. :) You get a shot at Rodelo and abuck these next two weeks. I haven't looked at the tiebreaker (H2H, div record) but you lose both of those and it's hard to complain about being left out.
  11. It's kinda dumb that scoring changes can change results after the week. This one shouldn't matter too much for the playoffs. Killer is probably out after this week and raw still has to play abuck and rodelo head-to-head. So those matchups will most likely decide who gets the last 2 spots.

  13. Yeah, he lost 5 points. I'm guessing an unearned run changed to ER. But that's only 4. Don't know where the other point was lost. Probably the error that lead to a run being unearned became a single.
  14. ND returning starting OLB Danny Spond retired due to head injuries. Sucks for that kid, but hope he stopped early enough that he won't be fucked for life. Have to assume we'll start seeing more and more of these types of retirements.
  15. Oh, plenty will start ("fill some holes.") One's already a team captain. Team Captain? Presumably the Robin Hood wannabe.
  16. I just love snood's optimism. These guys might provide some depth. But they won't crack the starting lineup for this team. :)
  17. Interesting read and a little tidbit about Trestman using combo plays. http://www.grantland.com/blog/the-triangle/post/_/id/71569/packaged-plays-and-the-newest-form-of-option-football?ex_cid=grantland33
  18. Phil is sad that Tim didn't get rewarded for jumping that route. That's all. He just wants the pick to go to the rightful player.
  19. If anyone doubted whether his team would run thru a brick wall for him, we have the answer.
  20. Weird. I think Seattle is a very good sports town. Leads MLS in attendance by a landslide, sells out the seahawks every game and the mariners do ok. I love that safeco is open air with a roof but it's cold as hell 4/6 months and pretty chilly for night games most of the other 2 months. Attendance was great when it opened and has been steadily declining (though the team hasn't been a real contender in a long time either). It's definitely a transplant city so there isn't a lot of longterm loyalty. But the people make pretty good money and spend a fair amount of it on their sports teams.
  21. I'm waiting for the day when the jumbotron will instantly tell you the outcome of a pitch the second the ball is released. Based on the pitch speed, type and arm angle, the batter's history and the alignment of the defense, that's gonna be a double down the RF line. I'm calling it pre-play.
  22. Yeah, that's what happens when your HC has to cover for the RB coach (whose brother just died of a heart attack). Just wait until we line up behind the defense this season. We'll be unstoppable.
  23. i don't get how this could be. even if they didn't play a disparate amount of games, you don't think the seahawks would outdraw the soccer team? Based solely on attendance? What a flawed way to measure. But yes the seahawks sell out every game. Of course the sounders draw over 40k which is almost double the next-highest MLS team. They play twice as many games as an NFL team and they aren't all Sunday afternoon when attendance is easy. well you seem to just be basing it on what merchandise you see people wearing or something. it's pretty hard to believe that any NFL team takes a back seat to an MLS team anywhere in this country, especially an NFL team which, from afar, appears to have a pretty enthusiastic following. Yes I'm basing it on the appearance and discussions and attitudes of the people I see and interact with in the city in question over 2+ years. And I'm just asking you to back it up with like numbers or something instead of just anecdotal information. What's with the hostility? What hostility? I'm giving you the basis for my opinion.
