  1. I'm sure in a couple of years the NCAA will mandate this for basketball too. ETA: Does the Summit League have a TV contract? On Versus U Shut it. Versus is home to at least 1 ND game this year. KU can find it's own second...er...third rate channel.
  2. It's nice for rankings when all but 3 quarters of your season has been played against [expletive] teams. Yeah, it's too bad we don't get to play ND every game. Agreed. Then you'd be 2-9. you must be projecting a lot of...turn-around...from your secondary no. once a game would be more than enough.
  3. I'm going to this game so I want it to be competitive. ND's run defense has been other-worldly. If you compare their opponent's yards v. ND to their yards v. all other opponents, it's a little insane. So if ND plays like the first 2 weeks (10 TOs), it'll be close. If not, it won't. Assuming Bobby D hasn't forgotten how to defend the option in any form.
  4. Let's hope AF looks more like Army 2010 then Navy 2010.

  6. I guess I assume that's true. I wouldn't know.

  8. That must be why Stanford still had Luck throwing from inside their 10 up almost 20 with 2 minutes to go. You can take Harbaugh out of your college, but the [expletive] remains.
  9. he looks nothing like you (but with more hair) which is really great. :)
  10. This reminds me of the triple bogey golfer I was paired with at a tourney in HS that kept saying 'but if I birdie out...'
  11. Sorry, I don't know how that's supposed to be conclusive either.
  12. You guys need to stop. It's hard to tell when you're joking.
  13. I love that you guys took my accurate portrayal of big 10 grad rates for AA football players and turned it into a week-long recurring attack on yourselves.
  14. The US Naval Academy operated a base out of ND during WWII without which the school very possibly would've gone under. ND has played Navy every year ever since (already had played them yearly since the 20s) to repay the 'debt of honor' or whatever you want to call it. That series will never end and I'm fine with that. Yup. Navy is #2 behind USC for me.
  15. Exactly, if you're not an ND fan, you aren't watching this game. So why play it every year. And you meant 'is' you big meanie. Because Purdue usually sucks, and it gives ND an easy win, all the while giving ND the advantage of saying they play a hard schedule including 3 Big Ten teams and USC. Right. ND needs Purdue to say they have a hard schedule. They can't just point to the SOS rankings.

  17. At least ND isn't so bad that it makes our coach suicidal (homicidal, maybe).
  18. You hate a mediocre-at-best team that Notre Dame will probably beat by at least two touchdowns? I'm not sure ND will beat any team by 2 TDs this year. I hate that purdue is on the schedule and take up a Sept spot at that. They aren't rivals, they share no interesting history. So they're close geographically. So is IU, but we don't play them every Sept. Wait, what? "The Fighting Irish also have a yearly rivalry with the Purdue Boilermakers, who are also located in the state of Indiana. This rivalry began in 1896 and the two squads have met each year without interruption since 1946.[2] The Fighting Irish lead the series at 54-26-2 as of 2010.[2] The two teams play for the Shillelagh Trophy. The series has been marked by a number of key upsets. The Boilermakers ended Notre Dame's 39-game unbeaten string in 1950 and posted upsets in 1954, 1967 and 1974.[2] They also hold the record for the most points scored in one game by an opponent in Notre Dame Stadium with 51 in 1960 while Notre Dame holds the record for scoring the most points by an opponent in Ross-Ade Stadium, Purdue's home field, with 52 in 1983. On September 28, 1968, #1 ranked Purdue defeated #2 Notre Dame 37-22 behind the effort of Leroy Keyes, a two-way player for the Boilermakers.[12] It was the eleventh 1 vs 2 game (and the sixth involving Notre Dame).[11]" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Notre_Dame_Fighting_Irish_football_rivalries#Purdue I didn't say there wasn't history. Just not interesting history. It's a boring game from both sides (Purdue had over 8000 seats unsold as of Monday).
  19. That's true. Even after ending the streak last year, ND may be looking to kill usc at home once in a decade.
  20. Oh really? I know. And I still wouldn't bet on ND beating any other team by 2 TD, even Purdue or Wake. Would you?

  22. I hate Purdue
  23. I know how you feel. Ruffer had a streak of 23 straight made FGs last year and has missed 2 of 4 this year. For a team struggling to not cough up the ball in the red zone, missing 30 yard FGs is the pits.
  24. Really? I honestly didn't know that the winner of the conference tourney wasn't considered the champ. What's the point of the tourney then?
