  1. So [expletive] pissed. That [expletive] town of Shreveport better get leveled by Isaac. We now play 12 straight weeks, including a 6-game stretch where 5 of the games are on the road. As if it wasn't going to be tough enough this season. Really a bummer since those 2 suspended players will now miss an actual game. No coach would move a suspension for the first game to the middle of the season to so obviously have a full squad for a tougher game, right?
  2. That's my understanding so it'd be great to confirm it.
  3. If Miyagi can catch a fly blindfolded why can't I drive a car blindfolded. That's all I'm saying.
  4. Prosecution was lucky he took the plea deal. So hard to make those DUI charges stick.
  5. Bruce Feldman RT @MattSlovin: MICH RB Fitz Toussaint has DUI charge reduced to driving while visibly impaired, pleads guilty to the latter.
  6. Haha
  7. He thought Muskat asked him how old he was 2 years after he signed the contract. Easy mistake.
  8. Backloading is good. That is a little bit of an oversimplification. Backloading is not inherently good or bad. My personal preference would be to minimize backloaded contracts on a rebuilding team, but that doesn't necessarily mean it is a bad thing. Either way, it really should not be much of a factor here. Why wouldn't you prefer for a rebuilding team to invest the extra couple million in those rebuilding years to pay for (1) the higher backloaded years, and (2) other stuff with the extra money from the investment.
  9. put de aza on your DL. you're not dropping possibly the hottest pitcher in baseball over the last 2 months right before the playoffs start. [expletive]. I didn't see that de aza got moved to the dl. I moved this weekend and just got internet back at home 5 minutes ago (so the first thing I did was fix my RK roster - I'm dedicated). If you want to put Maholm back on my roster, that's fine. Otherwise, you can let the lucky waiver wire guy pick him up.
  10. Hahaha. I wish the ladies would confuse me for ssr as much as you do.
  11. A student journalist? Hahaha
  12. Pot. No failed drug test but apparently they fessed up to something.
  13. Coach who is going to be your starting tailback against the defending champs in 5 days? What? Huh. Don't know yet. Could be anyone. Tough to say. Who is getting all the first team reps, coach. The suspended guy who hasn't missed any practices in fall camp and is listed at #1 on the depth chart. That doesn't mean he's playing this weekend. I mean, let's not jump to conclusions.
  14. we're likely without Toussaint, so i can see us losing by a couple scores and falling to like, 14 but i can't help but wonder where we'll get slotted if we actually win He's already back at practice after missing only a week. doesn't mean he'll play given his handling of Stonum and his ground rules, i don't see how Hoke starts Fitz Fitz listed as starter and the home invader is the backup DE on the first depth chart.
  15. Would he have been getting Jaramillo's message? Bc it sounds like he's definitely being aggressive in the zone.
  16. Kelly talked an awful lot about Golson maturing over the summer. I think he wanted Golson to win the job as he's the most talented (other than Kiel who isn't ready) but I think he needed to see leadership from him. Hopefully he outright won it instead of being the last guy standing. With our CBs, we probably can't afford to have TO Tommy running the show again.
  17. You don't think there was a real competition? Golson went into the spring the 3rd string QB and was struggling with classes in the fall. He was easily the best in the spring game and by all accounts was great in summer workouts. He got threw fall camp throwing 1 pick in about 130 throws. It would have been great if the former 4-star true junior with game experience beat out the RS freshman but I think it's pretty clear that Golson had to win the job and did.
  18. Lynch's waiver refused and he'll sit this year. Moving bc you want to nail your gf more often deemed not a hardship. This time.
  19. Also, Smyly is coming back to the majors this weekend and will have more than 10 starts this year. So I'm dropping Paul Maholm, as the only obvious non-keeper among my starters.
  20. Wait, you've had Chacin in the minors this whole time? He's been on the DL, but you don't have enough DL spots, so you stashed him in the minors?
  21. I agree. SSR is a total [expletive]. Thanks again for apologizing for attributing that to me
  22. Thanks for the apology...
  23. Seriously, why are they so bad? Must be that Mike Scioscia is a terrible manager...
  24. Is Criqui the Notre Dame play by play guy? He really [expletive] up those calls. He does the radio PBP, so it's even more useless. ND's pbp guy is Tom the pink gorilla Hammond. No one is more useless.
  25. Know something about what you post before posting. Please. How about the fact that Beliveau and even Maine are younger, similar power lefty arms with similar K% and notably better BB% throughout their minor league careers? So I was off by a year on his age. They claimed a guy that they presumably value enough to at least take a closer look. The sole roster cost is maybe 3 outings for Beliveau who isn't going to pitch for at least the next day or two anyway. There's no reason to complain about this, let alone act (as you did) as if the Cubs made some stupid mistake by sending down a promising player for some significant period of time to make room for a washed up player.
