  1. v LHP this year: .164/.195/.301
  2. Pitt may be the worst team on ND's schedule. jeepers creepers
  3. If they're smart they'll throw and throw often. ND's freshman CB got burned numerous times by Navy WR's. Sticking to screens and runs plays right to ND's strengths. That was a risk ND was willing to take so that was the scheme used. Not saying Russell is Dijon Sanders but they dared Navy to throw a lot knowing they wouldn't and put the corners on islands and played safeties close. I think we'll see a lot of zone this week. Dijon Sanders? The mustard loving CB? Auto type but I liked it too much to change it
  4. Banned A HUUUUGE USC FAN Let's not say things we can't take back
  5. That would have been awesome for ND last year since Rees can't overthrow a WR standing more than 5 yards passed the LOS. STOP MAKING THIS ABOUT YOU. I'm clearly not interested in what some punk big 12 qb did against whatever bitch school it played last week but I'm trying to humor minny.

  7. I'm interested.

  9. A couple other things to watch for (if you care). Raheem Mostert led the FBS in kickoff return average last year as a true freshman. He's an explosive kick returner. Also, DT Kawann Short is our best player. Walter Football actually has him mocked to go to the Bears in the 1st round of next year's draft. He blocked a field goal and an extra point last week and usually gets double teamed. Yeah I know about Short. Hopefully he lines up against our left side which is markedly better (Watt and Martin) than the right side (Golic). I don't worry much about KR as I expect ND will kick it out of the end zone every time. The kicker has the leg to do it though Kelly commented that they tried a few different types of kicks against Navy. If the KR is explosive I doubt they give him a chance.
  10. You've got a chance. Put up a lot of points and we have woefully unproven corners and Motta at SS is no Harrison Smith. If we don't get a pass rush, the QBs will have a chance to put up a lot of yards. QBs plural is right. Hope insists on using a three, yes three, quarterback rotation. It's insane. The strengths of Purdue's team are the D-Line, CBs, and speed at the skill positions. I would be surprised if they tried more than 2-3 passes beyond 15 yards from the line of scrimmage. You'll see lots of running the ball and lots of screens and short throws. I don't think we win, but I like the odds getting 14.5 points. Frankly, I expect ND to play it similar to how they played Navy with lots of running and not much reliance on Golson. I think the 3 QBs idea is stupid so I'm glad Hope is sticking to it. I don't think the QB is going to change what ND does on D which is rely on the D line, OLBs and Manti to make plays. If one of them has time to stand back and survey the field every down, it's going to be a shootout.

  12. This thread doesn't have to be about Kyle
  13. But was she hurt?
  14. That's a long way to go, but you got there and it was worth it.
  15. If they're so smart, they should have thought of that before taking over the team.
  16. no surprises there Good thing he didn't spill the beans before now. Saban is going to have to totally revamp his defense to account for the no Fitz O.
  17. Good for Hoke. https://mobile.twitter.com/#!/slmandel/status/241574460929474560
  18. Lane [expletive] kiffin ladies and gentlemen http://www.dailynews.com/sports/ci_21432140/usc-football-notebook-vehikite-makes-quiet-return
  19. If it's no big deal, Sumlin should just suspend them for Florida b/c it's the first game instead of coming up with stupid excuses.
  20. Roddick hanging it up? Didn't see that coming.
  21. So [expletive] pissed. That [expletive] town of Shreveport better get leveled by Isaac. We now play 12 straight weeks, including a 6-game stretch where 5 of the games are on the road. As if it wasn't going to be tough enough this season. Really a bummer since those 2 suspended players will now miss an actual game. No coach would move a suspension for the first game to the middle of the season to so obviously have a full squad for a tougher game, right? No, they'll sit out the LA Tech game as planned. One of them isn't even in the 2-deep right now so it's not a huge deal. As planned. Ha.
  22. Maybe he just has a fear of bad luck so he's decided to eliminate BABIP by not hitting any BIP.
  23. I thought the decision last year was to revert back to the lineup as of the week before the playoffs for all teams. So guys picked up after Sunday have to be dropped after the year no matter if you're in the playoffs or not. Bright line rule. Easy to follow. Fair for all. Am I missing something?
  24. I like that but mostly bc it reminds me of Tracy Morgan calling Jon Stewart "Stew Beef " like 2 dozen times in tds.
