  1. He was Jim Hendry's right hand man and there has never been any indication as to what he does well. So therefore, he must be bad at his job. The only grounds you use to assert this is that he worked under someone you didn't like. Great logic you have there. That's a pretty stupid statement. I questioned what he does well. I've never heard anything good about him. Nobody has ever made any sort of statement about what value he brings to the organization. I don't see it, and I'd like to know what it is. I don't just assume that middle management types in sports are great at what they do. I'm not sure why anybody would. You apparently assume they're bad at what they do. Far more reasonable. The close association and approval of Jim Hendry means it's not a baseless assumption. Maybe Bush is great but all I know about him is Hendry seemed to value him, which gives me some concerns.
  2. I'm surprised. I thought Nebraska traveled better than this. http://i47.tinypic.com/f0y9mr.jpg
  3. I'm less worried about the defense than the offense. It'll take at least 3 offensive TDs to win. If the D scores a TD it doesn't count? We're not putting up 40 on OU no matter where they come from. So the only way we win is if the D keeps the score low and creates TOs.
  4. ND is the only one likely to lose though. Gonna find out quick how good this D really is.
  5. Did you enjoy the game? Big win today. I know all the ND fans are happy for you.
  6. We've been waiting for your unbiased opinion. Now if only smack and cubinny can confirm.
  7. How do they rule that the 2nd TD was a catch when the ball clearly rested on the ground as it was on the guy's forearm? At least the replay got the forward pass right.
  8. Hope the Cubs consult the binder full of women candidates
  9. Brian Kelly threatening a young photographer's life isn't as dangerous as what Laney did to Woods on Saturday. How many routes did he run incorrectly before he remembered where he was? agreed...the dead guy is much better off today than the concussed guy. Exactly. What sort of future does a guy have when he's 22 and taking pictures of cfb practice for a team with 8 wins?

  11. Speaking of morally bankrupt programs, how did you feel about Woods sitting 1 play after clearly getting knocked the F out?
  12. You getting all smug about people getting an icky feeling about a school that harbored a child molester for years is a little gross. I'm not smug about anything. Rooting for this current team =/= supporting child rape, no matter how many times people say it Who said that?
  13. Theo. He's destroyed the team for the next several years so now he can go run the Cards and win now.
  14. Poor Kyle. Just can't seem to figure this whole internet thing out.

  16. Oh be indignant. That's a perfect response. It's everyone else that doesn't immediately write off a player based on one scouting report that's being unreasonable.
  17. If he's working below 90 at 21, he's filler. I contradicted myself because new information contradicted the information I was working off of. It was simply more information. At one point, he was working below 90. Based on that, you totally write him off. Once you've reached that conclusion, you contradict yourself if you find him interesting when he later increases his velocity. Your position, as usual, is needlessly extreme.
  18. He was working 88-89. So if at any point in his career, he's working below 90 with his fb, he's filler? That's what you said. Then you completely contradicted yourself. Not that you didn't know this or weren't doing it intentionally.
  19. Fringe prospect, don't care about him. Not a bad return for Jeff Baker, by any means, but don't care about him. He's definitely no longer working in the upper 80s. Okay, then I care about him a little. Not bad. What is this nonsense? Is it supposed to be funny?
  20. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/blog/eye-on-baseball/20557626/bud-selig-doesnt-like-champagne-celebrations hahhahaha, i love that selig now apparently has a monopoly on deciding what constitutes a great celebration. The man has a point. http://s3-ec.buzzfed.com/static/imagebuzz/2008/9/30/17/d78a897d6c49a4cdb12aa8f1ce90dff1.jpg
  21. I just have this crazy notion that it's odd for people to have favorite teams they connect to located all over the united states. And compared to the rams, yeah I'd say the bears have a pretty amazing history. Probably had the best NFL team ever in our lifetimes. Located all over the US. Like Chicago and that city on the other side of the world...St Louis. You aren't coming off very good in this one . I mean it's ok, I just don't get it. If the Bears and Bulls are good enough for you to cheer for, why not the White Sox or Cubs? Is it because they don't win enough? Maybe when he was born, the St Louis Rams didn't exist? There are a number of reasons someone might grow up a fan of teams from different cities. Your view on the matter is the curious one.

  23. I hope he becomes just as good as his brother/cousin (whatever he is) John and even blows out your head coach's knee on the sideline.
