Illinois a 6, wow. Yeah, they really are an enigma. They've got a decent amount of good wins and no terrible losses as strong as the Big 10 is top to bottom. But 6 is too high.

16 times? That almost seems like hyperbole, but if they've tested him even half as many times as that and he's come up clean every time, more power to him (no pun intended). I work for a company that is required to test a certain % of our truck drivers per DOT regulations. It's really very strange how some guys get popped more than others. And even more strange how one guy might get hit 3 months in a row and then not get tested for 2 years or something. That does seem a bit excessive in the total number of times, but getting randomly picked 4 times each year isn't really that strange based on personal experience. Getting picked 4 times randomly in 2 separate 6 month periods does seem like a lot though. -
I hope it doesn't get into an extravagant bidding war with Miami. I want him on the team, but not if we're overpaying by a wide margin I guess I look at it like even if you end up overpaying, it won't be a crippling contract like overpaying for Prince or Pujols had the potential to be. I mean, even if he gets something like 6/$48, that's really not that much in the grand scheme of things when you're talking about a $130+ million payroll.

I doubt Deuce moves his family out of London. For me it's either Arsenal or he stays at Fulham. As a sports fan used to North American sports, it still boggles my mind that London can support 5 (!!) soccer teams playing in the same league. Why? It's not all that different than Chicago supporting the Bulls, Blackhawks, Sox, Cubs, and Bears. It's not like they have other huge sports draws.

I don't even care, the talent level difference is great again in this game. Yet again we are content playing at a pace they dictate. I dare anyone to name a worse coach in America right now than Bruce Weber. I agree with you except for the fact that I think our players are too dumb to make good decisions when they play fast. Well, Paul at least is.

Sammy with 0 points, 2 dimes, and 3 turnovers. He's doing all he can to get Bruce fired. Kids really taking one for the university. I have no idea why he's even out there. Him and Abrams are almost always on the court at the same time and when Abrams isn't out there, Paul is bringing the ball up the floor. He's completely worthless, and I love my gritty white point guards (probably irrationally because I was one).

The call in the Penn State game the other night was awful, but these refs are dong everything they can to do a worse job today. There have been several awful and very inconsistent calls against both teams so far.

He was a football coach, not a messiah (which yes, I know some PSU people would have you believe). What happened sucked but really? He didn't rape kids and it's hard to put yourself in that kinda situation and say you would have acted immaculately. Immaculately? Perhaps not, but I am 100% confident I would have made damn sure the guy raping 10 year old boys on campus got exposed and stopped.

Stan Kroenke owns Arsenal and I'd bet that probably plays into it at least a bit. I'm not sure what the connection would be, but I'm sure it's there. The Glazers and one other NFL owner have EPL teams but I can't remember the 3rd off the top of my head.

Watching this team play makes it seem like its against the rules to shoot anywhere between 5 and 15 feet from the hoop.

No kidding. I was afraid he'd be outmatched athletically in conference play, but he's just bad.

Just wow on the call against Bertrand. And it would be helpful if they at least acted like they want to be out there playing.

Huh, didn't know that. I also thought the other denial probably had to do wit it being a team in the division than anything else.

That's not really a good comp. The A-10 is typically a much stronger league than any of these other conferences like the Colonial or the Horizon. When you typically get 3-4 teams in every year, the conference/team gets a lot more clout when they run through it like St. Joe's did that year.

Yeah, there's a huge difference between what Cassel was able to do for the Patriots and what Flynn did in one game. It would be incredibly risky to make that acquisition, and I would hate for my team to do it. But it only takes one, and NFL teams without settled QB situations do stupid stuff. Then again, Wannstedt isn't out there coaching anybody either. Yeah, but if you're talking about a team like Cleveland who has Holmgren running things, I think there's probably a better chance they'd take a gamble than a lot of other teams since he'd be running the same sytem.

Their tackles aren't bad, they just weren't healthy this year. I think WR is a much bigger need for them. Just adding some not awful depth on the line should be fine for them.
