  1. He still doesn't have as many NFL rushing yards as he did in 4 years of high school, which is absolutely insane.
  2. Oh, that's a patented move for sure. What I'm saying is from that the outcome of the game is likely different if that call isn't made. They went from 1st and 10 at like the 15(ish) to 1st and 20 at the 45. If they bleed a little more clock and score there, they probably win the game. Everything went completely to horsefeathers after that call.
  3. Just some random thoughts: -I've never seen a game flip on a phantom holding call like last night before. -I knew the FG before halftime was going to come back to haunt them as soon as the long completion happened. Had a bad feeling about the missed FG and going for it on 4th down early too. -Defense is absolutely hot garbage and I'm not sure the injured guys coming back fixes anything. -I said I expected the first 4-5 games to look rough as Caleb learns the offense and has to execute against real defenses and while last night was disappointing, I have to stick with that. If we don't see significant improvement by week 4, I almost expect a QB change after the bye.
  4. Watching the Lions yesterday certainly made me feel better about Ben being the guy (overreaction I'm sure). The Lions are still likely to be very good but it's probably going to take a few weeks for them to figure out what works and what doesn't with the new coordinators.
  5. It was hot garbage on my Samsung TV but works really well on both a Roku TV and a Roku stick for me, so I think some of the issues are software related with specific brands.
  6. Yes, he would be. You just have to be in the organization by August 31st to be eligible for the postseason, not on the ML roster.
  7. It'll be tough to top that game last night for the rest of the year. That was absolutely nuts. The throw Allen made to get them into FG range on the last drive was pretty amazing.
  8. I had it figured out with context clues but how does someone who's been watching this team all year do that? Multiple times.
  9. Cade Horton is -115 to win ROTY on ESPNBet so he's currently the odds on favorite according to them.
  10. I don't hate Zaidman the way others do, but him being in the booth during an Apple TV game is a bad beat all around. Fortunately the early offense is making this a much more pleasant experience.
  11. I'm going to sound like a grumpy old man here, but I cannot express how much I hate the Apple tv games. I pay for MLBTV, just let me watch the damn game you bastards.
  12. If my math is right, magic number to make the playoffs is 14 and to stay out of the 3rd wild card slot is 18. If they play .500 the rest of the way, the Giants have to go 20-2 and the Mets 16-6 to catch them.
  13. Probably tough to really judge him based on the 2023 performance with the rumors he played with a torn meniscus for a decent part of the season.
  14. Wouldn't be terribly surprising if there was something there with the recent history of pitcher development in STL and Colorado.
  15. Probably a couple things at play. He's kind of a cerebral dude and never gets real excited about things and he's historically kind of streaky, and those cold streaks can look pretty ugly and are much more memorable than when he's scorching hot and hits 9 homers in a month.
  16. Right? It's like we haven't been here for 20 years talking about guys having outlier weeks, months and years who immediately turn into a pumpkin after signing a huge contract when they ran a BABIP 30 points higher than their career norms in a contract year.
  17. You don't actually understand anything. It's really kinda funny at this point.
  18. You're refuting actual data with a bucket of nothing. You're the one who needs to back up your claim dingus. Jason Ross has repeatedly shown this using verified data and you have absolutely nothing to contradict that other than your typical baseless claims.
  19. And you're going to continue to make specious claims with zero backup.
  20. Unless it's CB Bucknor, and then it's okay to blame him for everything that goes wrong because he's truly terrible at his job.
  21. I think the defense will be fine if they stay reasonably healthy. The depth in the secondary is problematic, especially if Johnson isn't healthy. Allen will scheme them into looks that confuse the opposition enough that I don't think they'll be awful.
  22. He's been suspended for 6 games for his little tantrum the other day.
  23. Can you look at how many times he's struck out on balls out of the zone and looking? That's really the beef I have with his performance of late. He's stopped being aggressive like he was earlier in the year and he's seeing a ton of hittable first pitch strikes and then the pitcher nibbles after that because they know they've got him on the defensive. He gets screwed on called strikes more than anybody I've ever seen, but even outside of that, he just isn't making the right decisions at the plate.
