    People asking this clearly haven't been watching UI all year. I think they shot 25% inside 5 feet this year.

    Nobody said they shouldn't be fouls, just not NBS style continuation shooting fouls. I continue to be impressed by how Groce has these guys playing their best at the end of the season. Maybe they can work on not [expletive] the bed for 2 months every year now That had more to do with the transition from the older guys to younger guys this year. Nunn and Hill have completely changed the way they're able to play offense because they can actually, you know, shoot the ball.

    As crappy as this team is, it's nice to at least not have a horrific bench guy somewhere that we have to watch. Granted, we still have to watch Barney take AB's, but hopefully that long nightmare will soon be over. If Olt is at 3rd, are we really going to see Barney play much? Bonifacio and Valbuena would be preferable to me, unless you're suggesting he gets PT to showcase him for trade.

    He got screwed by Lake missing a fly ball he lost in the sun that would have been the 3rd out in the big inning. Rizzo just missed a HR by a foot or two according to Len.

    I assume if you try to cut Steve Smith he will just shoot you. I think you're confusing him with Rae Carruth. He might punch you in the face though.

    The thing that really stands out to me there is how many games each of the B1G teams played against the top 100. 11, 14, 14, and 16 vs. no more than 12 for any other team besides Kansas. I think the toughness of the overall schedule (i.e. getting no "easy" conference wins) should have an influence on the way seeding goes. Question since I haven't paid much attention: Is Sparty going to be healthy by the time the tourney starts? Edit: Changed Duke to Kansas because my memory ain't so good.

    Kris Medlen left the Braves game today with a forearm strain. He's already had one TJS.

    This has been a hell of an effort by the Bulls today. Fun to watch when they crank up the defense. Reminds me a little of the old "unleashing the dobermans" from back in the day. Also, Jimmy Butler is a better defender than Deng. Discuss.

    Almora with a sharp single to right, Valaika double to score him, followed by a Soler triple to right center. Almora was a first pitch hit, Soler on a 3-1.

    And Vitters just struck out for the 3rd time.

    Rough inning for Soler. He misplayed the first ball hit to him and allowed a single, though that was probably because he didn't pick it up right away. With 1 out, a long fly ball to right was hit and he was at the wall, had it in his glove and dropped it.

    Looks like they gave them to the home crowd. Of course they did since that game isn't on MLB TV.

    He's 21 and hit decently for a catcher. Don't we usually see catchers get better at hitting later since so much developmental time is spent learning how to catch and call a game?

    They're a really good team, but they aren't nearly this good. UI is playing zero defense tonight.
