  1. well now you ruined scarey's whole point I meant it in the nicest possible way. I'm sure he didn't take it personally, as he's been a dick for a long, long time. Stannis is just pissy because he got stuck w Dragonstone and a bossy redhead. Wait... I'm confused. Am I the dick? Or is Stannis? Or are both of us? I didn't even know I made enough noise around here to be given a reputation like that. Jersey is.
  2. I just flipped on the Avs-Wild game and it seems a lot more wide open than the Blues-Hawks games. Is that entirely due to the Blues slow down game with their lack of offense?
  3. Mark Wohlers must be thinking that Sterling was arrested. There needs to be a Cosmos-like show that explains basic US civics to the average person. Here's a start: http://www.upworthy.com/a-quick-little-reminder-to-everyone-who-seems-to-have-forgotten-what-exactly-free-speech-means?c=ufb1
  4. Meh, he plays for the Reds and anything bad that happens to them is fine with me because of their uber obnoxious announcers, who I unfortunately had to listen to last night.
  5. Wright's been pretty solid lately and Strop is usually fine. Don't let one blown save make you all meatbally about him.
  6. Ok, let's get more guys who can do that on a regular basis. He throws hard and seems to even know where it's going most of the time.
  7. Too thin and not sweaty enough for me to even compare. But yeah, just a little. He's so much taller and more fluid that it's mostly just the wind up. He's throwing some nasty splitters though.
  8. I'm watching on MLB.TV for the first time on my new BluRay. It's pretty amazing how good the picture is streaming something live like this.
  9. Calling a player a baseball? Referring to his partner, or the audience, as player? Sounds like a stoned dork. I don't think the period was supposed to be in there. I don't think you get jokes. I get them when they're funny.

  11. Team that lives on grit, effort and hustle can't get a defensive rebound to keep their season alive. Well, Boozer is terrible at rebounding and Taj was hurt, plus you have the refs swallowing their whistles on top of all the Bulls key guys playing twice as many minutes as the Wizards, and that'll happen.
  12. Great no call on that huge push in the back by Nene.
  13. I blame Thibs for a lot of that. He's ridden these guys so hard all series and season they have nothing left.
  14. That sequence was the perfect example of why Boozer doesn't play in the 4th. No help on the pick and roll and couldn't box out Gotat 3 times in a row. Pathetic, because that's all about effort.
  15. WTF is that [expletive]? I despise Whitlock so much. What a clown.
  16. If you've ever drafted a player who turned out to help you. The A's don't belong in there either. Yes they do. When was the last time they signed a high dollar FA?
  17. What velocity does he normally work at?
  18. The stuff on the far left of that shot just went through St Louis. It's gonna be tough to get this in because that's probably 45 minutes to an hour between the first and second systems and then 30-45 minutes between the second and third.
  19. Because he's not even close to being effective right now and it's going to take more than an occasional appearance to get it fixed. A DL stint where he can go down to AZ and work on mechanics or whatever the hell the problem is is probably the best solution for everybody. You have to think he's interested in signing another contract for next year so it's in his best interest to do whatever he needs to so he can actually find the strike zone again.
  20. the downside is that you wasted a pick on a bad QB. That sort of thing sets back franchises for years and ruins careers. "Paying for it" has absolutely no value. Jersey sales goes to everybody else. Not saying that it isn't a bad thing for an organization, but it doesn't cripple them like it used to since those rookie contracts aren't nearly as ridiculous as they used to be.
  21. Down to 0.6 fWAR for his Cubs' career. Can we call that a failed signing? The signing was ok, they just didn't get rid of him last season when they should have when his numbers weren't awful.
  22. That was so much more glorious being in the stadium and the sheer silence of the crowd when it went in. Sooooooooo amazing. So many blues fans tears. So great.
