  1. I'd bet this is exactly it. Smart for an organization to sell it as working with their best prospects and pay someone regardless of the level they're coaching to try to ensure success for those guys.
  2. The 44 yarder before halftime was absolutely OPI. The defender has as much right to the ball as the offense and Higgins clearly pushed him in the back to get room to make the catch. 100% should have been called.
  3. This is just a little too doom bonery. If we're having this same conversation in week 12/13/14, then I'm on board but all the bad habits Caleb has that have to be broken is something that's not going to happen overnight. He's played sandlot football for 5+ years and getting him to play on schedule and in rhythm when he's never done it before is going to be a challenge but I don't think he's a lost cause yet when we're 7 games into him having a coach who actually knows what he's doing.
  4. I'll be surprised if he lands a major job for next year. There's a full on smear campaign going against him at this point and it feels like he deserves it because he's just a piece of horsefeathers.
  5. I guess my question is why do we see the huge delta between stuff and results? Is it pitch sequence? Shape? Arm slot? The fact that he has the raw stuff he does and the apparent high level understanding the Cubs pitching infrastructure possesses makes me a believer in going after him because it feels like there's still some meat on the bone that could be tapped into and he could be the next Arrietta for the Cubs.
  6. This is just dumb. As Jason already said, there's zero reason to have a 15-18 inning game in the regular season. Now, if you wanted to make it so the runner at 2nd base doesn't happen until the 12th inning, I'd be fine with that solution.
  7. Judge wouldn't be taking the mound tonight and that added onto what he does at the plate is the thing that makes him so special. He does both things at the highest level.
  8. Monongai was wide horsefeathers open for a dump off on the pick. Like there wasn't anyone within 10 yards of him. That was such a late/off target pass I have no idea what Caleb was doing there.
  9. Holy horsefeathers, why does everyone think Tucker is a Boras client? It's been discussed here ad nauseam that he isn't.
  10. He's beefed up a lot since last season. Good to see he's putting in the work off the court too.
  11. This is beyond the expectations of the guy who's coaching him so I'll go ahead and believe Ben Johnson.
  12. Is this by chance a reference to Boob Nightengale calling Tigers in 3 against the Cardinals in 2006? Hopefully you're as wrong as he was. 😜
  13. I think there needs to be some patience here. Ben is trying to coach a ton of bad habits out of him that he's been doing since he was in college. Between the lack of talent around him at USC and the shoddy line and poor coaching last year, Caleb has been running for his life and doing it on his own for a long time and breaking him of those tendencies and getting him to play on time and in rhythm isn't going to happen overnight. Now, if we're not seeing marked improvement by the end of the season and he's still running around like a chicken with his head cut off, I'll definitely be concerned then.
  14. That's the design of the offense though, so I'm not sure what the gripe could be. Get a guy the ball in space and let him run. It's more efficient and significantly reduces the margin for error vs throwing the ball long.
  15. It seems related to the "enter your email" pop up. That only comes up all the way if I click on my other screen when it's in the shaded part of the flashing. Otherwise, it just alternates the fully bright and shaded screens about every second.
  16. That worked. I tried it yesterday as well but apparently didn't clear out enough things.
  17. Turned off and relaunched with no change.
  18. Graphics acceleration is the only option I have there. Settings are somewhat controlled by my company.
  19. Adobe editor is the only thing I have active currently.
  20. @Brock Beauchampthe flashing went away for like a week and is back now. It makes the site nearly unusable.
  21. Isn't the Ravens defense still super injured and missing a bunch of guys? The offense should look good against them and I guess we'll find out how real the defensive improvement is if Lamar plays.
  22. What are you talking about? He came over as an unrestricted free agent and will be again after his contract with the Cubs is up.
  23. I don't know if they changed what they were doing, but it felt like the Bears were getting much better pressure on the QB in the 4th quarter than they were the rest of the game. Maybe better effort, maybe the Washington line was tired, I don't know, it just seemed better late.
