I think I would be happy if Puig were to be solely responsible for ending the Cardinals season every year that the Cubs aren't in it. Him and his glorious mohawk along with his flair for the dramatic will make losing because of him unbearable for TBFIB.
I was telling my girlfriend the Cardinals fan the exact same thing last night. If he comes up and is good/great, every other team, especially the Cardinals and their play the game the right way BS, is going to hate him so much.
It's really good, but it's not near Javy and KB's. He does, however, have a much better hit tool, which is what makes me less nervous about him, provided he can stay healthy.
The fact that he's displaying them in the majors right now puts him in the better column in all categories for me. He's obviously not as good as he's looked the last few games, but he clearly knows what he's doing at the plate.
You know, I thought that for a split second myself earlier. I wonder how much it does matter. A lot, IMHO. And especially in a case here when you know Baker's catching one game anyway, why not? They went match ups. Lefty started tonight so Castillo got the start with Baker going against the righty earlier.
