  1. By the fact that they almost got to the QB and the DB was fighting the WR for the ball in the end zone. And the ref is to blame, he's the one who didn't so his job right.
  2. That's BS. The guy on the sideline's job is to know where the HC is so that if the TO request happens, he knows if it's from the HC or not.
  3. And the Packers get bailed out by improper rule enforcement. Awesome.
  4. I don't think it's fair to Bridgewater to run him out there with no AP as an option. Probably a big reason Cassel was bad today, though I admittedly didn't watch any of that game.
  5. No, that's honestly probably worse than a break. Ankle ligaments take forever to heal and in many cases are never the same again. A break probably would have been a shorter recovery period.
  6. So the Bengals just got called for a personal foul on an onside kick that was whistled dead before the play started. The announcers can't figure out why it was a penalty when the Bengals player took an obvious cheap head to head shot on an Atlanta player that wasn't expecting any contact at all.
  7. So is RG3 terrible, is Cousins good, or are the Jets just that awful on defense?
  8. Carson Palmer just inactivated due to a shoulder problem and Drew Stanton is starting.
  9. Yeah, this pretty much sums up how I feel about it. That's just not okay in any way, shape or form.
  10. Not that they're the ultimate authorities or anything, but both Golic and Cris Carter were completely blasting the call this morning. I couldn't believe the call when I saw it live. That was an absolutely perfectly executed tackle where the guy saw what he was going to hit and just ran through the tackle.
  11. nope. nope nope nope. It seemed to work for the Cards (Wacha) and the Sox (Sale) for some examples - it's a possibility I'm not one to say TINSTAAPP, but it would have to be their BPA on the board and fit into their draft strategy. If they follow a similar pattern as last year, it might have to be a safer pick with a smaller ceiling than someone who might command more money with a higher ceiling. As much as they say Schwarber was the best bat in the draft, his lower contract demands played a key role as well. I think this part of the strategy was 100% related to the fact that they thought they could get the high school arms they did in rounds 3-5 at the prices they did. If those guys weren't going to be in play, I don't think you necessarily see them making that pick.
  12. Neither do the refs. Hochule threw the flag and definitely couldn't see the actual hit.
  13. Anybody a fan of Travis Kelce's potential? I picked him up off waivers and dropped Dwyer (figure even if/when Ellington goes down it will be a tandem of Taylor/Dwyer with neither guy being all that impressive). Thinking about starting him in the flex spot above - thoughts? Is Kelvin Benjamin available? I just grabbed him and dropped Amendola because I like the potential and he already had a good week 1.
  14. True, most other schools don't ever have a shot at those guys to begin with. Most schools don't have the single largest D1 basketball player producing city in their backyard and continue to get screwed on top tier players.
  15. He looks like Wayne Arnold from The Wonder Years. There's a little Eli Manning in there too.
  16. Are you [expletive] serious? Do you believe that? You think the police/local prosecution's deciisons to drop all charges and not prosecute Ray Rice is being explored pari passu with the criticism of the NFL? You dont actually believe that. You have decided to refute that and say its not being overlooked for whatever stupid reason you might have. The words "police investigation" may have been mentioned in an article that's absolute subject is whether or not the NFL saw the tape or whether or not Goodell should step down. Well apparently the president of the New Jersey senate (I think that's who he is) that was just on Mike and Mike is taking it seriously. He's having an investigation done on how the case was handled and pretty much said that if this was handled as the laws currently dictate/allow, then the laws need to be changed. So yeah, it's been mentioned a lot, and even on nationally broadcast shows.
  17. If they're serious about winning next year, he should be up the first damn game. They make too much money to worry about an extra $15MM 3 years from now. No. That is foolish. The difference between him and Coghlan/Valbuena or someone like that for like 3 weeks worth of games is negligible (hell, very easily could be a net gain). No, it's a stupid [expletive] game they are playing because they operate like bunch of [expletive] penniless rubes. Scott Boars will be like 100 when it comes time for Bryant to negotiate his big contract. If you want to win more games next year you bring him up this year to start the major league development process. You do realize it has very little to do with money and nearly 100% to do with having the player for an extra year right? I mean, based on the bolded, it's obvious you don't, but I just thought I'd ask. No trip to KC sucks because I can always manage to get out there for a "work trip" when they go.
  18. So Schlitter and Parker at the top of the DFA list?
  19. When Javy is sucking this badly at Olt's current age, I'll be ready to write him off too. He's got a mere 5 years to figure it out. It's not the years, it's the mileage. I won't for a moment suggest that Baez isn't a far better prospect than Olt. But I think people get too hung up on Olt's age. He was a college draftee, and he effectively lost an entire year to his eye issues. I'd like to see a little more of him before I toss him in the rubbish tip. The lost year is a strike against him, not a point in his favor. I think it's kind of moot if he can see now. Not that we really know if he can or not.
  20. I've heard it mentioned a few times on either MLBN or Baseball Tonight. Has Gomes been terrible since he took his place?
  21. I haven't been watch really closely, but this ump's zone is all over the damn place.
  22. My only iffy decision was made for me since Cecil Shorts didn't play, but holy crap did Matt Ryan and Matt Bryant carry me today. I was a little worried after the big night from Wilson and Lynch Thursday, but I'm going to be ahead after my opponent is done tonight and I still have 3 guy left going tomorrow night.
  23. Definitely should have been illegal contact grabbing him that far down the field.
  24. Marshall back in.
  25. It's a good thing Mundy can tackle because he's been doing an awful lot of it. Are the LBs that bad or are we just plating that much nickel that he's supposed to be making these plays?
