    Winning games 1-0 and 2-0 isn't very comforting because that type of pitching performance is not sustainable. The team needs to score more runs, period. Go look at the Cards game log and get back to me. And that was more a comment on their ability to win a close game than anything else anyway.

    You guys act like the Cubs haven't won 3 games 1-0 or 2-0 this week. The Cards stuff is really annoying, but they're winning these games against most everybody else. And the Cards offense isn't any better than the Cubs right now honestly.

    Punching AJ alphabet went a really long way toward endearing him to me. That, and we had no idea how bad he really was at defense at that point.

    Cardinals just had the most Cub thing ever happen to them. TV shows a graphic about how they've allowed the second least HRs in the league this year and the first batter of the inning proceeds to drop one into their bullpen to give the Sox a 2-1 lead.

    Pretty much this. And I'm confused on the people complaining he didn't send him with 1 out. 2 outs, I get it, but bases loaded and one out is a pretty decent situation when the likelihood of scoring there was maybe 50/50 at the very best.

    It is a demonstration of his ability to make adjustments. Adjustments to minor league pitchers. Adjustments to the best pitchers he's seen yet. And he's done it at every level he's been to outside of the majors to this point. TT is probably correct with his thoughts, but to just completely poo poo his potential is silly. And sneaky, you're using Vitters as a comparison? Come one, those guys were never in the same league talent wise and you know it.

    But that's not what he said. He simply said he may need more time to get back into rhythm, which is actually perfectly reasonable. I mean, he says lots of dumb stuff, but this probably shouldn't be included in that grouping. ETA: And then he follows up with that. Ugh.

    Looking to take my daughter to Wrigley on Friday. Anybody have a couple they're willing to part with? Bleachers are preferable if available because I have some friends that will be out there, but I'm fine with others as well.
