  1. They gave one to the one and only Daniel Descalso last night too. That was about the most awful game I could have possibly gone to.
  2. Anyone up for a game of Boggle™? I did that on purpose, but if you haven't been here forever you probably missed the reference.
  3. Thank you for giving me a brain splitting migraine. I mean I understand what you're trying to say -- but Mike Leake is not the guy that puts you over the top. If they win again it'll be because they still have Bumgarner pitching 3 games in a series and going crazy, not because of Leake. However they may lose quite a few more games in the future because they gave up their #1 guy. The inability of people to grasp that a move like this isn't about the postseason itself but about solidifying the ability to get there in the first place is mind bottling. Leake may not even pitch in the playoffs, but if he makes 11 starts over the next two months and has a 3.5 ERA vs. the alternative who may have a 4.5 ERA, that's potentially the difference between winning 4 games or 8 games and getting into or not getting into the playoffs.
  4. Usual [expletive] of them deciding to score runs the one [expletive] time they ever give up any, but what they do doesn't really matter anymore. I was at this game tonight and it was the most Cardinal game ever. I also had the poster child of the BFIBs sitting in front of me too. At the game by himself, talking loudly to no one in particular, utterly socially unaware, overweight, and smelled like a wet dog, which I'm fairly certain stemmed from the disgusting 20+ year old jersey thing he was wearing. It was gross. My daughter and I got up and moved after a couple innings of his idiocy.
  5. Chris Rusin just hit a 2 run dong off of Carlos Martinez. Hopefully a harbinger of things to come.
  6. Hopefully they're beating him with a bag of nickels. Turd.
  7. Hell of an AB. He's generally looked much better the last few weeks.
  8. downsr: Quit [expletive] quoting using tapatalk if you're not going to fix it. Jesus.
  9. Well, they have had injuries. Wada is at Iowa, Turner is hurt, Wood was bad and so was Jaxon. So, you end up with broke ass Beller starting.
  10. Looks like John Kruk light to me with a little more pop and a little less avg/obp.
  11. You can drink beer with me. That should be reason enough! \:D/
  12. I don't get it either. Not sure why Soriano is the bad guy here. I feel that way because he's pitched like 4 innings and already given up 2 dongs and several other rockets.
  13. Huh. That actually seems like the opposite of sad for me. 'Sad' because he was a great player and if not for his gambling would be in the Hall. Eh, I've never actually thought he shouldn't be in the HoF; nobody should be excluded from it. It just seems like what he really wants is to actually work in pro baseball in any capacity and that's what he should never have. This is pretty much how I feel. No reason not to put him in as far as I'm concerned, but the whole job in baseball thing should be completely out of the question.
  14. If they send Castro to SD, he's likely the everyday 2B until they decide Baez is ready.
  15. Yeah, that seems questionable at best.
  16. So I'll attempt to make a civil post to explain why you're getting ridiculed here. Coghlan came up as an infielder but has only played a handful of games there in the majors for a reason. He's bad at it and should only be there in an emergency. yes, he's probably better at 2B and 3B than anybody on this message board could ever hope to be, but that still doesn't mean he should be playing there in the majors. All people ask on here is that you use a little deductive reasoning when making a post. For instance, if the post had been "Hey guys, I know he's probably not great in the infield, but was Coughlam so much of a butcher that he can't play there on a regular basis?", there likely would have been some decent replies not ridiculing your thought process.
  17. I vote for The Logan as all time gam thread starter.
  18. Ball 1 was closer to the plate than strike 3. Terrible umping.
  19. If Soler is going to play RF like Nelson Cruz, he's gonna need to start hitting HR like him too.
  20. i thought it was cool as [expletive] don't tell anyone but i really like brandon phillips Yeah, anybody Cards fans hate that much is okay by me.
