  1. Castro just made that play look really, really easy.
  2. I saw something yesterday saying he wasn't traveling to California with the team, so he's out.
  3. I have to imagine there was some our guys vs. their guys bias going on as well with the change in the SD FO that had just happened, which likely clouded their judgement a bit.
  4. That's so great. I had forgotten about it.
  5. I'm about [expletive] done with MLBTV. Won't stream right on my BluRay and now I'm having problems on my phone too. Pissing me right the [expletive] off.
  6. No idea why he gets anything to hit there. Just dumb.
  7. I've been having issues with my BluRay all season. It's weird, if it gets a certain amount behind, it's fine, but it really struggles to keep up with the stream as it's coming in. I've had no issues shooting it from my phone to the Chromecast on my other tv though.
  8. Lester's been relatively efficient tonight. Chance for him to go 8 and get the pen another night of rest for most guys.
  9. Their announcers just said something about his delivery looking different as well. No idea, but they're in big trouble if they lose another SP. And Young just got thru the 5th but he's at like 95 pitches.
  10. So Batista hasn't started a game since low A but they have him starting now in his 3rd go round in AA. Just roster filler at this point I assume?
  11. I say sasquatch only. No apes/monkeys.
  12. The other part is what doesn't make sense to me. Where does he get 91% for a regular PAT? Last year it was 1200/1230, or 97.6% and I would imagine you'd probably have to go back a long time to find less than 95%. That obviously doesn't change the thought process of what the strategy should be, just curious where the 91% comes from.
  13. You spelled moran wrong.
  14. Listened to the BBTN podcast while I was on the road today and Buster was talking about how bad the Padres OF defense is. They're dead last and the difference between them and 29 is the same as the difference between 29th and 20th ranked OF defenses.
  15. Do you have NBCSN at home? I believe they allow streaming with a cable login if that's a palatable option: http://stream.nbcsports.com/liveextra/ Perfect. Thanks!
  16. Anybody have a creative way for me to watch the game tonight so I don't have to sit in a bar until 10:30 since my hotel doesn't have NBCSN?
  17. I'm watching the end of the Cards-Mets game hoping to see the Mets pull this out and Dan McLaughlin, douchey Cards play by play guy, starts making fun of the surroundings of Citi Field. I'm almost tempted to tweet him and ask him what he thought about the fenced in lake and dirt pile that was outside of Busch for like 8 years. Moran.
  18. That was a very uncharacteristic panic/we don't like this guy move by the Cards. I didn't get it when they did it and it certainly doesn't look any better now. My biggest problem with it was the fact that they were relying on Wacha and Wainwright for big innings and both were coming off injuries and the only backup they had were unproven or injury risk guys.
  19. The complete and utter lack of effort once things started going downhill in that game didn't make that clear to you? Because that was exactly what that looked like to me. And I think this is the single biggest reason why it went bad.
  20. It's pretty clear they've reached the Doug Collins/Larry Brown/Scott Skiles point where players have just stopped listening and a change needs to be made. Not necessarily anyone's fault, but Thibs is just one of those guys that will have a short shelf life no matter where he goes unless he changes his approach a bit.
  21. It's an amazing difference being able to put pressure on other teams and watch them make mistakes. The guys at the top of the lineup are just seeing so damn many pitches that by the 3rd and 4th games of a series, their arms are shot and we get the crappy pen arms and eat them alive. 2 runs in the 8th without a single hit? Just awesome.
