  1. That's absolutely atrocious. He never completed the play.
  2. Looks like the rosters are out and the only change is Berry in for Russell.
  3. Yeah, they were both pretty good today.
  4. That does, however, line him up for a game 7 start. Fortunately, we should have dispatched them by then.
  5. Mul21's house Ha! Full might be a stretch, but the game will be on and beer will be flowing semi-freely since I have to be up early for a flight to Vegas Monday morning.
  6. I'm the same age and he is easily the best Cub to play in our lives and the only thing that made them relevant and competitive for years. He's awesome and those that hated on him are idiots and the owner is a douche for shunning him. I'm 37 and you guys are old as dirt I'll cut you I'll help. Yanr, you jerk!
  7. This should be a good read.
  8. No, the next batter was trying to get the crowd calmed down and the pitcher misinterpreted what he was doing and they exchanged words, then the benches cleared.
  9. I'm not sure who said it, but:
  10. This shows the best part of that HR: the bat flip. Or throw maybe. https://twitter.com/BrianCostaWSJ/status/654432811504414724
  11. Yeah, that was terrific. He pimped that about as hard as you possibly can. I mean, the runner from third scored as he left the batter's box.
  12. I have a feeling Wrigley would have responded in a far worse manner if this happened to the Cubs at home.
  13. Based on the rule they just quoted, the umps nailed it. Curious to know if them waving it dead makes any difference, but there was certainly no way in hell they were throwing him out at the plate.
  14. Well, I'm pretty sure I've never seen that happen before. I'm pretty sure that call is right, but even more shocking is that Harold Reynolds had it correct before the umps made their call. Great awareness by Odor to score.
  15. I vote we bask in the glory until after game 5 in LA.
  16. Rodney is definitely on the list. Shooting the arrow is awesome if he's your guy, but I'd hate it if he wasn't a Cub. Not because I hate celebrations or anything, but it would just suck.
  17. Man, after repeatedly seeing the replay of Jorge's throw home to nail Cruz, he made an absolutely perfect play on that and needed every bit of it. The way he fielded it, clean exchange from glove to hand and then the absolute bullet strike to Miggy to nail him. That was such a huge play.
  18. A little context on the guy who wrote the article. He's a St. Louis native who went to Mizzou and just came back to the area to work for the paper to replace Bernie Miklasz as a columnist. There's probably a mix of homerism and pandering to the audience to get them on his side since he's so new. Now, that's certainly no excuse for terrible journalism, but I get why he wrote that the way he did. He's a pretty terrible homer in general from what I've heard of him on the radio here and there.
  19. Speaking of Pat, I think this series may have fixed him. He sounded as good as ever calling the end of the ninth. The "I wish you could all be here in this atmosphere" or whatever he said was just perfect.
  20. I think one of your minions gave him a short vacation.
  21. I just saw the look on Javy's face on the curtain call. Dude was so happy to have contributed such a huge dong.
  22. then I get to take a World Series Championship hat to my grandfathers grave. And this too.
