  1. Actually, it probably did because of the diuretic effect of the caffeine in the green tea.
  2. I don't really drink too much hard stuff so I can't comment, but I'm with you on the beer. Definitely different types of buzzes for different beers, and I'd like to think it's more than just the ABV. For me, Hopslam would give me the most different buzz from anything I've tried (compared to like, an imperial stout with the same ABV). And although it's not my cup of tea, hard cider gives a different winey type of buzz as well. I mean, enough of anything will get you drunk though. But I notice difference between mellow buzzes and energetic buzzes. Again, and I hate to agree with Careless, all completely due to the adjuncts in each type of booze and not the actual alcohol.
  3. ^^^^^ Pretty much that. Plus, I live in it daily and am really enjoying the schadenfreud.
  4. Leake made it through 4 1/3 on 99 pitches and down 4-0. Just couldn't put away guys with 2 strike counts. And now something called Hazelbaker just homered for the Cards.
  5. These first 2 games of the season are slowly forcing them to realize we are their new overlords. The creeping panic down here is delicious.
  6. Rental car rates are ridiculously outlandish in Phoenix. Even with a huge corporate discount, I paid like $215 for 4 days.
  7. Right on both accounts. Asking a place like Wrigley to have some 10% ABV imperial stout or double IPA available is kind of silly. 312 pale and wheat are both perfectly acceptable for a baseball game. And I'm the snobbiest of beer snobs.
  8. Your software needs an update. He's having knee surgery and is out indefinitely.
  9. Watched the video of the injury and it was really odd. He slid into home and touched it with his left hand, then when he went to push off the ground with both hands to get up, the right elbow just gave out on him. Either that dude's got an exceptional level of pain tolerance and there was something already cracked in there or he's brittle as hell and is going to have problems with that elbow forever.
  10. I was pissed last year when they didn't have the buffalo chicken tater tots. The fries are a poor substitute.
  11. It's not going to matter if Notre Dame continues to be allergic to defense and boxing out.
  12. Man, I'm rooting for ND, but that seemed like an awful quick whistle on the UNC T.
  13. Man, I thought the alternate looked really amateurish. Those block letters are just bad. I would definitely be a fan of adding the piping to the regular though.
  14. I saw someone tweet about one of them, one of your standard quick throws to first after a pitch that the Cubs have done so often in recent years. They were both throws to first, one a traditional tag by Rizzo and the second he threw down and they got the guy in a rundown. He also made the play on Hamilton's SB a lot closer than it should have been with a great throw.
  15. Rizzo almost killed me with that foul ball into the dugout in the first.
  16. The picture is too big to post from my phone, but Jorge looks just as pretty up close as you imagined. I'm sitting 2 feet from the Cubs dugout.
  17. Yay, more Illinois players hitting women. Idiots.
  18. I think it's a combination of the two with a 60/40 split in favor of nobody really caring about tennis outside of majors. Throw in that 3 of the 4 are on at weird times that few people can watch and I think you have your answer.
  19. No, the game literally ended on the Illinois rule. Refresh my memory?
  20. Their mascot is the Hatters, no joke. Not nearly as ridiculous as the team in my high school conference, the Polo Marcos. It's real, look it up.
  21. Look, I'm not a robot. I don't have time to read every link that gets posted here......
  22. i'm not sure they have a much shorter shelf life than any other position, really. i would highly doubt that BUT i also pulled it out of my ass so maybe Also out of my ass, but it seems to me they fall off a cliff much more regularly than the gradual decline seen out of a lot of other position players.
  23. This hits close to home. [tweet]https://twitter.com/keithlaw/status/704343477279133697[/tweet]
  24. No need, they do that well enough to themselves.
  25. interested in seeing this one without the drop shadow, just out of curiosity Agree. The red is great and I'd like to see it without the gray.
