It's another name for marinara. Definitely an Italian term. As a [expletive] I've always called it sauce or gravy, we've never modified the term with a color. Yeah, that's how I've always heard it referred to as well. Though they may distinguish there since it's a beef place and people might also refer to the au jus as gravy.

I'm not sure why you're so upset. That was ridiculously close and like somebody else already said, I don't think they'd have changed the call on the field if they'd called him safe to begin with.
