    For a one year contract next year....who would it be? Any pitcher, regardless of contracts, would magically appear on the Cubs rotation. Who would you pick? I'd say Johan Santana.

    I'm seriously freaking out here. If this trade goes down, I'm gonna do something stupid and drastic. I mean seriously, I haven't been this angry since the strike. I honestly think this would suck all the enthusiasm I have for the cubs out the window. :(

    I just mentioned this in another thread....but if his contract expires after this 2006, why wouldn't the Brew Crew trade him away at the break for something? They're a small market team...

    True enough, but with Pierre scheduled to leave after this year, it would be a good problem to have.

    In fact, I love Kotsay. His numbers are much better once you bat him 2nd or 3rd, and he really hits in the clutch. According to ESPN, he has a great arm, frequently gets assists, and plays terrific defense, perfect for RF. He also bats better away from Oakland and during the day...I want Kotsay.
