  1. Ok ok. One pitcher, that is currently active. One active pitcher to pitch one year next year.
  2. For a one year contract next year....who would it be? Any pitcher, regardless of contracts, would magically appear on the Cubs rotation. Who would you pick? I'd say Johan Santana.
  3. Trading Prior makes me a sad panda. http://images.southparkstudios.com/media/images/306/306_panda_dance.gif
  4. I'm seriously freaking out here. If this trade goes down, I'm gonna do something stupid and drastic. I mean seriously, I haven't been this angry since the strike. I honestly think this would suck all the enthusiasm I have for the cubs out the window. :(
  5. God what a scalping. We lose out horribly in that deal. Oh come on, we'd get rid of Patterson. Anything is worth that. "My tooth doesn't hurt nearly as much since you kicked me in the crotch" Gimme yo' finger. http://www.moviesnapshot.com/1995Stills/Major_Payne.JPG
  6. God what a scalping. We lose out horribly in that deal.
  7. Not trading Prior. Would be a huge mistake. Not trading Prior. Would be a huge mistake. Not trading Prior. Would be a huge mistake. Not trading Prior. Would be a huge mistake. Not trading Prior. Would be a huge mistake. Not trading Prior. Would be a huge mistake. Not trading Prior. Would be a huge mistake. Not trading Prior. Would be a huge mistake. Not trading Prior. Would be a huge mistake.
  8. No no no no no no no no no no no no nonon on oon no no nono! Bruce, please come in here and restore some order. Tell these people they're crazy.
  9. Move them for what? A defensively-minded 2B is my guess.
  10. I'd say the Cards, simply because we did get Juan Pierre, and they have got jack so far.
  11. I still can't beleive this signing!!!! *tears out hair* AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WTF IS GOING ON?!!?!
  12. Oh come on. This is pathetic. I'm gonna be sick.
  13. Lee for Sarah Connor, Quentin Tarantino, and Dick Tracy? Oh yeah!
  14. *obligatory dropping of 1908 and criticism of Tribune for not dropping all the cash they have into getting a winning team* *comment that Cubs fans have waited long enough* *threat to stop being a Cubs fan if the management does such-and-such*
  15. I just mentioned this in another thread....but if his contract expires after this 2006, why wouldn't the Brew Crew trade him away at the break for something? They're a small market team...
  16. Why wait until Lee becomes a FA? I think the Brewers would be smart enough to trade him away at the break....
  17. Well that doesn't bode well for us.
  18. I'm not opposed to not opposing your non approval of not non-tendering him. I have no idea what this actually means. I disagree on even numbered Tuesdays.
  19. Kotsay's average/OBP/SLG per hitting slot in 2005: 1: .262/.320/.345 (229 ABs) 2: .291/.332/.486 (251 ABs) 3: .294/.321/.431 (102 ABs)
  20. True enough, but with Pierre scheduled to leave after this year, it would be a good problem to have.
  21. In fact, I love Kotsay. His numbers are much better once you bat him 2nd or 3rd, and he really hits in the clutch. According to ESPN, he has a great arm, frequently gets assists, and plays terrific defense, perfect for RF. He also bats better away from Oakland and during the day...I want Kotsay.
  22. I was assuming we would be trading Walker, but otherwise I would agree.
