  1. *dons flame suit* I would like Kotsay in our outfield. I think he'd be a great asset and a perfect #2 hitter. Also, good to hear the Tejada thing might still be on? Although I think the Sox definitely have the advantage here....I guess I can hope. How about they can trade for Abreu if we can trade for Tejada? Sounds like a deal to me...
  2. there was. But now there's knot.
  3. Watching TBS will do that....

  5. Wow. Jones's R/L splits are awful. Although he does bat significantly better with RISP or just runners on than with none on.
  6. Grammar mistake. I meant to refer to Corey.
  7. Totally, thoroughly, agree. If Patterson happened to catch fire....Murton, Pierre, Patterson.....would be fun to watch. I know thats a big IF.....but it would be better than watching Jones out there. Id rather give Corey a shot. Corey is 4 years younger and makes half of much. Jockstrap would not be much of an improvement. Plus, we don't have to trade for him. I think the answer is pretty clear.
  8. I've given him a lot of crap, but I don't think there's any question he can improve upon last year. I say we give him another chance in RF, especially because his D is pretty strong and because I do not want to see Jockstrap there.
  9. *Joins 'Would Rather see CPatt in RF Fan Club'*
  10. Anemic Offense: I agree with the controversy part, but this is so far-fetched and just unreal it makes me wonder how he keeps his job. Seriously, I have lost all respect for Rogers.
  11. I think Clemens will go to Boston. If he thought the could stay and win with Houston, they would have worked something out by now. He's got enough money that all he actually cares about is a good season, and with the B&B crew on the outs, I think he sees Boston as a place where he has a better chance to succeed.
  12. Rogers is insane. If that happened I would freak out. Letting go of Z is the worst idea we've had since we tried to low-ball Maddux. BTW, for those that can't be bothered to register with the Tribune, I suggest this site: http://www.bugmenot.com
  13. IMB...I have to admit......as much as I'm scared of your sig image, I find it strangely hypnotizing.... :-s
  14. I'm studying in England right now, but I miss Chicago's cold weather :?
  15. Jurassic Pierre One Rock (pierre means rock in french) Big Red Carrot Top Wade Murton
  16. What caste is he in now? I think this is a very relevant point. Greg Maddux was awful his first callup/year, we should give Hill more a chance. Just because he's not a Kerry Wood and didn't strike out 20 astros in his first year, doesn't mean that he won't be a very good pitcher.
  17. Prior or Wood for Tejada? Not bloody likely.
  18. All things being even, I'd rather have Abreu, but I don't think the Cubs can get him/it would be too expensive. I think that Miggy will be cheaper and that the Cubs should therefore pursue primarily him, but keep pressure on both teams, letting them know that we can only make one trade. This puts the pressure on them a bit.
  19. I don't think you have any cause to worry about that. Also, maybe the Orioles could sign Nomar? Then we wouldn't have to send Cedeno...
  20. I agree wholeheartedly, I just don't want to part with both of our top prospects (Pie and Hill). The way I see it, Pie is more easily replaceable as we can extend Pierre's contract or find someone else, whereas good pitchers are very hard to come by. The mets won't throw in Milledge I don't think. They seem to be very protective of him...
  21. This would make my winter. What do the Orioles have in the outfield, maybe we can throw Corey Patterson in there to save some of our prospects...
  22. Who does Baltimore have at SS without Tejada? Cedeno would almost certainly need to be included. Walker may be a possibility at 1B, but he'd be at the low end of production there, and they have an All-Star 2B, so that's out of the question. Hmm...True enough. Alright then. Switch Cedeno with Walker in that deal. I'd hate to see Cedeno go, but if we got Miggy.... =P~
  23. I say Pie, Williams, Walker, and a prospect not named Cedeno or Murton. If they need more, throw in Kelton. However, I'd rather not trade Hill. Oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy. *holds breath*
  24. Before the HoF induction speech, it would have been Pippen.
  25. The real problem is that they got a taste of success early last year only to "Cubs it up" and drop the second half of the season.
