  1. And yet nothing brings me greater pleasure as seeing the ESPN golden boy struck down.
  2. Eh, after reading some Dodger forums, sounds like his arm is about as weak as Pierre's, in addition to probably not being able to play full time. I'd rather have Church.
  3. And Seattle comes up ONE YARD SHORT. Ouch, that's painful.
  4. Well I'm just brimming with confidence. :x
  5. I give Hendry a B, mostly because he found got good to great players in a dry market.
  6. Oh gross. I can't believe that coaching BS.
  7. It's not stupid to the team that gets the money for posting a player. pretty sure seibu is going to be upset if boston fails to reach a deal with matsuzaka. a revamped posting system would prevent something like this from happening. seibu would set a minimum bid, like a "reserve" on an auction. then, they're guaranteed to receive at least that much if a team reaches a deal with their player. How about each team places a blind bid for negotiating rights, and the top five bidders must pay the team that amount whether they sign him or not. Then, they talk to the player and his agent and decide on that contract.
  8. What a stupid way to do the posting anyway. There should be a minimum posting fee, and then all teams who meet it should be able to make offers.
  9. I'm not sure you could say the Cards bullpen is as good as the Cubs. They're not sure if Izzy can be back, and they've lost some good arms since '04-'05.
  10. At least we didn't lie down and die when we were down by 2. Good exciting game.
  11. Aw hamburgers. :(
  12. Overtime! I'd say that's a great victory especially after being 2 down.
  13. SAVE!!!!
  14. 2 goal lead is the most dangerous lead. What did I tell you guys. Too true.
  15. NO WAY!!!! TIE GAME!!!! :D :D :D :D :D
  16. HEY HEY! One goal down!
  17. Well I'd say that's that.
  18. That power play goal right before the end of the period stings.
  19. Ugh, 3-2 Wilds.
  20. QFT, just use the latest quote people.
  21. I'm going optimistic. 88-91
  22. Darn, I was hoping they'd bring in Kolb.
  23. He gives up far too many home runs to be considered an effective groundball pitcher, and those home runs are the bane of his existence even more so than his middling K/BB ratio. Hmm...Any encouraging stats? How much did/will Park Factors play in this? In response to the Groundball issue, I think it is the walks and lack of strikeouts that really hurt. If he let less people on base, those HRs wouldn't quite hurt so much. But then, I guess he does give up more than his share of taters.
  24. So that's it? Lose Tommie Harris, who hasn't had a sack since week 4, and it's all over? The guy's a great player, don't get me wrong, but I doubt he's the difference between winning and losing in the playoffs. With Tommie Harris out and Rex sucking, yes I have serious doubts about winning playoff games.
