They have to fire him. Have to.

Ah, but only a year ago I argued he couldn't hold Deron Williams' jock and was laughed at for it. I would say the biggest difference between Williams and Hinrich is strength though not athletic ability. I am not saying that Williams is not a better athlete just that his strength is what really sets apart from almost all other point guards. and you would be wrong. You Tube Deron Williams and Ike Diougu and let me know when Kirk is gonna pull that athletic move off. Plus Williams is a much better shooter as well. So to sum it up Deron Williams is an elite, top 5 point guard. Kirk Hinrich should be a back up. Let's see Hinrich do any of these moves. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0B9FTbVOUA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5G8IoXx1bE&feature=related Hey Kirk is in this one

Granted, I haven't seen many Illinois games the last 2 years, but in the games I have seen, it seems as Illini fans frustration should be directed at him moreso than Chester Frazier. I mean, his only talent is the ability to shoot the ball from outside. But he's gone down in 3pt % every year, and he's at a barely respectable 37% this year. Yeah because he is the only guy on the team who is allowed to shoot from the outside. The more McCamey plays the better Meachem whoud look, after all a true point guard always help a spot up shooter.

I've been calling it all year. KU is a real good team, but they aren't special. I have never seen them as a Final 4 team at any point. Well, I don't know about that. I still think we're one of the 4 best teams. I was just supremely confident in them early in the season. Now I have a sick feeling about them. I don't think you can identify 4 better teams, though. Memphis, Duke, and a healthy UCLA. I would say you are still in the top 4.

Yes, we sure are awfully lucky to lose the most important player on our team, when his only reliable backup is out for the season, three days before the most important game of the season thus far, and a week before another very significant game. Oh, and Clemson's out-of-sight 3-point line in regulation sure was lucky for Carolina (admittedly, that had a lot to do with poor perimeter defense, but still). There are a lot of ways you could describe Carolina. "Pretty good," "inconsistent," "fun to watch," "poor on defense," "fast," these are all reasonable things to say. But I sure don't see what makes them so lucky. Also, I cannot wait to get the ball out of Quentin Thomas' hands. Even when the stat line looks okay, as it does in this most recent game, he's still terrible. Ty Lawson can't come back too soon. He is a Duke fan, waht do you expect? I love earlier when he talked about how they handled Wisconsin easily. Yeah that is what happens when Wiscy's point guard has two fouls in the first minute. But, I was assured that is because the super crafty and gritty coach K actually teaches his kids to draw fouls on the opposing players. You know coaching, the only true coach in America.

Dayn Perry: Jason Kendall is the worst catcher in baseball
illiniguy replied to Schwarber Fan's topic in Chicago Cubs Talk
Francoeur's a mediocre defensive outfielder. Really? I admit on defense I base my opinion mostly on rep(foolish to an extent). I don't give a lot of credence to any of the defensive metrics as it seems every year the newest one is proved to be flawed. His arm is terrific, but his range is so-so. I find that surprising considering he was thought to be a center fielder who was pushed to right as a result of Andruw Jones. -
I could care less about it now. I am trying to concentrate instead upon the fact that on that night we had the best freshman on the court. Hopefully Weber will see that and start giving him the bulk of the minutes. There is no reason McCamey shouldn't start from this point forward. This season is over. Tisdale needs to play over Pruitt as well. Thanks Shawn, those 3 clutch free throws pretty much were your career in a nut shell.

Wouldn't Fracnouers defensive abilities at least bump him up a little bit. I know he is a terrible hitter, but his defense has to have some value. I still think he has to be better than Juan Encarnacion. -
So when is the IU apology coming for their fan behavior? Im sure they plan on issuing it soon For what? The Uconn game? If so, it has already been done. Several of the players did some PSA's that they played on the video board during the game. What does it matter anyway? IU didn't make them issue a statement. How about for mister attention whore and his salute to the Illini fans? Class pure class You don't issue an apology for one fan flipping the bird after being heckled all game. If that were the case, you would have A.D.'s issuing apologies after every Big Ten road game. Come on. Gordon Sr. is probably an attention whore, but if he and his family actually was hit by beads, it's not stunning that he would have something to say on his way out. For the record I don't think anything I actually saw was out of line. I'm just saying that when everyone in college basketball outside of your fans is blasting you today, it's probably not the right time to complain about class from others. For all of the Indiana people that were outraged by it, do you remember what you did to Luke Recker when he came back to Assembly Hall 5 years ago? He got the same treatment as Gordon, maybe worse. Had attention whore daddy not put himself out in the limelight and let his son get the attention, nothing would have happened to daddy dearest, hell nobody would have even known who he was. Daddy dearest put himself out there, had he been a normal parent, it would have just been heckling, but attention whore couldnt let that happen. He got his attention by supposedly being hit with beads, hes probably lucky thats all he was hit with honestly. They both got what they deserved, and daddy got what he was asking for, more attention towards him. As for the people blasting "us" screw them, they dont even know the story, but they want, and needed something to latch on to and are basically telling half of it. Oh well, just more proof the media is filled with ignorant, uninformed, loud mouth blowhards. What did he do last night that put himself out there more than a "normal parent"? He's lucky that he and his family were only hit with beads? Wow. That's just nutty. He might be a total attention whore and clown but he still has a right to go to the game and see his son play. Unless he is inciting something AT the game (which I don't think he did) he should be kept free from harm. Boo all you want, but you just look like a total nutjob when you say he deserved to be hit with something and is lucky it wasn't worse. It's college basketball man. This is the last thing I am gonna say on it because really it is tired. Illinois fans are pissed, IU fans think what happened was ok. But, EJSr first announced he was coming to newspapers and was bringing his whole family. Yes this happened it was on the Illiniboard a good three days before the game. Why do that? Were you maybe wanting something to happen. Then when they get there they are wearing black IU jerseys. Again WTF? Aren't IU's colors Crimson and Red? I also love how he stood up every time the EJ had the ball, you know because the booing didn't let him know who had it, so he had to make sure. I thought EJ handled it all pretty well. His dad on the other hand...

We will be a lot better than we are now. Thank god. I thikn most of the Big ten is going to get better. You guys definately upgraded coaches.

His pregame thing should be getting McCamey's water ready. Being as McCamey is way better and all.

I keep hearing that beasley is the best forward since Derick Coleman and Wayman Tisdale. Isn't anyone worried about that being his ceiling? I am not so sure he is a lock down, slam dunk number 1 pick.

Ha ha, wait, you're saying Sampson is a drama queen? Have you seen Weber's sideline preening or heard his press conference whining? Sampson may not have integrity, but he's not a drama queen. That would be Weber. I would agree with this. Although I would like to say that I would much rather lose the right way than win how Samspon has.

uhhhhh. They have two other players averaging in double figures. I'd say Bassett and Crawford are contributers. They also have a solid recruiting class, with one stud coming. Obviously, some slippage will occur, but I seriously doubt they're going away. They should be pretty good next season, and are in on many top players for 2009. We'll see how that works out. Illinois is bringing some great recruiting classes but IU won't be devoid of talent. I don't think many, if any, IU fans have been claiming the team is very good right now. I wanted to reserve judgment until the meat of the schedule, and, to this point, they've pretty much failed. I think the next four games are going to be a big struggle. IU's not very good right now, and Sampson certainly isn't a very good coach. Regardless, though, last night's game figured to be difficult. It was the opponent's game of the year. A foul shouldn't have been called on Pruitt. That ostensibly would've been the officials deciding the game. I did think that the foul on Ellis was pretty iffy, however. Finally, Gordon made statements to the media in July that he was considering IU. He still prefaced it by saying he was going to Illinois, but what did that mean? He didn't handle the situation well, and neither did his father or Sampson. But to imply no one knew anything until Midnight Madness is completely intellectually dishonest. We all knew what was going on and we're message board losers. Obviously that he still was not in fact going to Illinois. Had he just decommitted we could have pursued Alex Legion a lot harder and maybe had him for this year. Or a group of other guys. He held a schollty hostage that he had no intention of using. Oh well he played his one game in UI, the chapter is now closed. We recovered with some pretty good recruiting classes and Sampson alienated an entire fan base.

Well we know we are a terrible team and that they are supposed to be a good team. Yet everytime we have played them they have barely beaten us. We also played Duke, they had no such problem taking us to the woodshed. They lose Gordon and White next year. In the next three years we add the most talent we have ever had, IU could be on probabtion. Are you still failing to see why we think we will be better going forward? and who's to say that your great recruits don't all bolt after THEIR freshmen year? At what point did I say any of them were that good? Maybe Jereme Richmond can do that, but even then I doubt that as we will be pretty good and he won't get to run loose like Gordon does. i honestly don't know anything about your recruits, which is why i'm asking. from what i can gather, you have good recruits, but not so good they'll leave early, but good enough to be better than Indiana for years to come? how are IU's recruits? They have a very good one for '08 whose name eludes me. After that they have struggled because of the impending NCAA investigation. Trust me, people better kick us now while we are down. IU is not struggling in recruiting whatsoever. For 08, they have Devin Ebanks (ranked 12th in the county), a pretty good point guard (Holloway), and then two good role players (Roth and Pritchard). That overall gives them the #15 recruiting class for 08. In 09, they've landed a decent power forward and are on many lists for many of the nations top players. There is absolutely no indication that their recruiting is struggling because of any investigation. Ebanks is the guy I couldn't remember. He is a stud. Should take over nicely for Gordon. Holloway is good, but probably won't play for awhile because of the guard talent you have. I really like Jordan Crawford. Really like him. But, in '09 I had heard they are not doing nearly as well.

No McCamey did not. Just another false truth told by ESPN last night. Goes along with Gordon opening up his recruting. By opening up they mean we found out when he showed up at IU's MM. McCamey was waiting for us to offer the whole time. He has said in interviews we are his dream school. BS So him telling Weber, a newspaper, and Illinois fans that week he was still 100 percent committed isn't what happened? Nobody was dense enough to think he wasn't considering IU after they Davis left and they hired Sampson. It was common knowledge. To act like you or Weber or anyone else was blind-sided is a joke. Gordon/Gordon Sr. (and Sampson) went about it the wrong way, for sure. But this thing was all over the press as soon as Sampson got hired. Everyone knew it was a possibility. I repeat the same question? You gonna answer it? The Gordon's are classless. You do now EJSR flipped off the crowd yesterday as he was leaving? WTF is wrong with him? What kind of reaction did he expect? If he was that bothered he shouldn't have came. What? Answer the question? Give me a break. You are right (though I don't remember exactly that it was "that week") that those things were said. That's not the point. Everyone knew it was happening. Everyone. I clearly stated that Gordon and Gordon Sr. (and to a lesser extent IMO, Sampson) were in the wrong. Call it classless or whatever. It was wrong. What else is there to say? Gordon Sr. is an attention whore. I don't really care. I care about him flipping off the crowd about as much as I care about some moron throwing beeds and ice at them, which is to say...I don't. It has nothing to do with the game. All this whoa is me stuff (from both Weber and Gordon Sr.) is stupid and lame. It is what it is. Move on. Well it is done now. Barring us meeting in the Big Ten Tournament. Which probably won't happen as you guys will get a bye.

I also would like to point out that these kids all gained interest after jerence Howard was signed. Maybe Howard's the guy getting this all done.
