  1. that is a bold statement as he can barely create his own shot, dependent on an all-star distributor to get him the ball in the paint. but he's a fantastic finisher. Playing with Nash makes him better, no doubt. But if you don't think he would be a very good player on any team I think you are crazy. Good thing he didn't say that he wasn't a very good player. He just said he isn't the best player. Not an earth-shattering statement. Acutally what you quoted is saying more than that. A guy who can barely create his own shot and is dependant on someone else to get him the ball in the paint would usually imply that the player isn't very good. Most good players can create their own shots.

ANY player Yeah when they were tossing that rumor around, I was really wanting the Bulls to get in on that.
  3. He was. Really, which guy got player of the year again from everyone? When it was clear that Williams was by far the best player.
  4. I think so too, but the talking heads contributed to it. Jay Bilas had a quote about him being the 9th best guard in the ACC. I really don't think he gets or got the credit he deserved. There is more to basketball than just scoring.
  5. Bwhahaha, you cannot be serious. Williams led the conference in assists his freshman year and played point guard on a team that should have won a conference championshp(Typical Wisconsin call at Kohl). Williams was head and shoulders further along at the same point in his career than DMac. How can Illinois fans still underrate how good Deron Williams was for us? yeah, averaging 1.7 more ppg and 1.5 less apg in less minutes. but who's keeping track? and i guess "maybe" and "ultimately" have no meaning for you there, psycho. Oh so he could ultimately be a top 5 point guard in the NBA. Got anymore orange koolaid predictions? I got Brain Randle becoming Lamar Odom, psycho. Also Williams was our best defender from day one. McCamye can't guard a chair. what? are you sure that you're okay or are you just having an off day, there killer? do not go to dekalb, i repeat, do not go to dekalb. What the hell are you talking about? How is this acceptable? Making light of what happened in DeKalb? haha, all of your posts are unacceptable, that's what i'm talking about. and i'm afraid for college campuses everywhere. Ok, sure thing. I guess being a fan of Deron Williams is a crime and unacceptable. Thanks for correcting me. i don't think you know who you are a fan of. I am a fan of McCamey, he should be playing all the time. I think I have been saying that before the season started even. I do think he has to get much better on the defensive side of the ball and with his decision making abilities to be compared in a favorable manner to our best point guard ever. Sorry if that is confusing to you. I would compare McCamey more to Frankie Williams myself, another great player, in that he has periods where he is unguardable. But, at the same time, he is lost a good majority of the time on defense and doesn't always make the best choices with the ball.

  11. You keep winning and the administration will keep putting it off. I don't think so. They are in CYA mode. If OSU hadn't been smacked down and forced to pay O'Brien a bunch of money, Sampson would already be gone. I don't believe that for a second. O'Brien still hasn't seen a single penny from that settlement and according to many law experts, never will. The case is in appeal right now. Was in appeal. OSU lost and has to pay O'Brien $3M. Do you believe me now? I believe you, I also think you don't fire Sampson this Friday. You should, but you won't.
  12. Maybe we should have let McCamey play more than 4 minutes in the first half. He only had 18 points in the second half.
  13. I don't think in high school he is close to the player that Tyrell Reed was. I also think he has a lot of projection as a player. He is a great defender, who will play right away because of it. He will have to catch up on offense I think. I remember you saying that before. I though Releford was a scorer. Not true? Do you think Reed is quick enough to be a good defender? I think he had 3 fouls in like 9 minutes the other day. He is a scorer in high school games in Kansas. When he has played on the AAU circuit with Pump and Run he was the third option. Now grant it that was before his junior year. I really was not as blown away as I thought I would be by him. But, I still think he will be a good player for you. It just might take a while. As for Reed, that is the million dollar question. There is no doubt he can shoot it. I think he is athletic enough to make the adjustments necessary to play. I just wonder how hard Bill recruits over the top of him.

  15. What happened there? Any reasons? not enough schollies to go around if he redshirts. this is actually what's best for both parties. good luck to him. I am withholding on saying it is best for both parties. Let's see what the Carlwell's have to say after he leaves campus. They could really crush Weber if they decide to start bitching about the Jamar Smith incident.

  17. Great so if he ends up at Ohio State Matta will have better guys walking on than most of the Big Ten has recruited.

  19. Nash has been a free agent since he went to Phoenix? He left Dallas 4 years ago now. I would have resigned him then as well, but I don't think Nash would have been a 2 time MVP in Dallas either. No, but it wouldn't have cost them a very good young point guard. Plus Nash is still a better player than Kidd. You can't just not guard Nash on the perimeter like you can Kidd. Damn it really has been 4 years. Huh.
  20. The mavs should have just resigned Nash two years ago.
  21. Skiles was grasping for straws to try and find 5 players who would play hard. The team underperformed this year and they quit on Skiles, and were worrying about their own agendas(contracts etc...) Skiles deserves very little blame for the Bulls season, but something had to be done, and in the NBA, its always the coach who feels it. Wait it wasn't Skiles' fault that Paxson screwed up every draft he had a part in?
  22. Ok, so Renaldo and Renaldino are different guys. Which one is better? I was under the assumption that Renaldo was like on a Pele level for a short period of time, the guys I work with all tell me Renaldino is a better player. Are they right?
  23. He was a bad man. Supposedly he lost to Ronnie Fields though in a high school dunk contest. Look at this one. i'm even more ashamed of my whiteness now. that boy has hops he's canadian so it doesn't count. gerald green does all those dunks, gets higher, and he got obliterated last night. But he isn't white. That makes a big difference, just ask Brent Barry. Also, Green won a three point shoot out in high school, why the heck hasn't his game developed anymore than it has? You've got me. You know how these kids can be, he probably just fell in love with his athleticism. Really, someone his size, with his athletic ability, should not be a 10th man on the Timberwolves. I remember when he signed with OSU and I was terrified of having to go against him twice a year. Now it seems like he gets worse every year. At the very least were I running the TWolves he would be playing in the DLeague. The kid needs to develop his game, you can't really do that by traveling and not practicing in the NBA.

  25. Thats not true at all. He took over a pathetic Bulls team and helped lead them to a playoff series win last year. Skiles will be a great hire for IU Skiles is perfect for college, by the time he wears thin on his players they will be ready to graduate. That has always been his problem. He does well for awhile, then his players get sick of his in your face style. College will eliminate a lot of that. but can he recruit? that's not given, regardless of his ties to Indiana I would think the combination of IU and the fact he coached in the NBA(like Cal at Memphis) would be enough to recruit.
