  1. Seriously if you read hes quotes they are laughable. Making tons of excuses about injuries, and how he plays hard every night. Well Ben, you guys were sucking when everybody was healthy, and I think we need to ask Skiles about you playing hard every night. He was terrible, but at the same time the Bulls were very strange with him. Getting on him over a headband. We should all just be happy he is gone, Ben included. While the rule about headbands was dumb, it was still a rule, and everybody on the team should follow them. I guess, but if the Bulls had drafted LeBron I wonder if they would have taken the same stance with him? Wallace was paid like a superstar, then treated like a rookie. I can see why he was peeved at the Bulls too. Meh, if not getting to wear a headband while getting paid a crapload of money pisses him off, well I dont know what to say. Hes a baby, and a coach killer. I wonder how long Clevelands coach will be around now that Wallace is there? The sad thing is he went from being very underrated to very overrated the minute he signed the Bulls deal. For years he was all effort. Then he got paid. He was made by Sheed. If I recall he was a decent player in Washington, obviously Sheed made him better. Sheed is a great player. I think a lot of people don't realize just how talented Rasheed Wallace really is. The left handed three in the All-Star game is pretty impressive. It makes me laugh when people say the Pistons win without a great big man. He may not be Shaq in his prime or Tim Duncan, but Rasheed Wallace has been one of the most talented PF's in the league since he stepped foot on the court. The guy is a great player, even if he doesn't score a ton. Yep and at one time he was ranked behind Rashard Griffith of Chicago King. Rasheed Wallace is a great, great player. He should have won a title at Portland too.
  2. Wallace was due 14,000,000 through 2010 Hughes is due 13,655,268 through 2010 That's per year.
  3. Why? He'll still get his fair share of minutes. I think he means Trans Tiger the Cavs fan.

  7. So now its Shannon Brown, Simmons, Hughes, and Gooden for Wallace and Smith? Oh I like Shannon Brown. I hope he gets a chance to play in Chicago.

  9. Should we be excited about Simmons?
  10. I love all these trades. The West should be very interesting to watch in the playoffs now.
  11. How does this make Paxon any better as a GM? All he is doing is trading trash for trash. Trash that he signed. As I said the only positive is that Noah, and TT should get more playing time. Drew Gooden really isn't trash. Isn't he going to take minutes away from the two young guys though? At least he still doesn't have that patch of hair on the back of his head.
  12. Of those three, I'd take Brownell. I might be biased, he went to my high school, but still. I like him a lot. If IU decides to go with a young up-and-comer, I hope it's Brownell. Of those 3 I'd rather you have Brownell too. Miller at IU scares the crap out of me. If it is Miller, Xavier really has had a nice coaching tree go on to other places.
  13. I am sad to see Joe Smith go. I know it is for the bigger good of the team, but I actually thought he did pretty well for this team.
  14. I love moving Wallace, but hate adding Gooden. Didn't he just sign a big deal? Its over after next season. Ok, that isn't as bad then. So what does that mean with reguards to the Bulls backcourt? Is this deal setting up another one? I would think one of Hinrich of Gordon would be on the way out now. Duhon would be shipped out. If we trade Gordon, I'm going to hurl. Yeah but didn't they run in to problems in the past with Gordon coming off of the bench? I would assume Hughs starts. Hinrich just got a big deal not too long ago so he is going to start. Where does that leave Ben?

  17. Maybe if your posts didn't read like this 95% of the time anyone wants to talk basketball, people would be more apt to discussion. Like when I was able to give snoodmonger first hand info on one of Kansas' recruits? Was that one of those 5%. Or when throughout this topic I asked for McCamey to get minutes?
  18. Maybe if your posts didn't read like this 95% of the time anyone wants to talk basketball, people would be more apt to discussion. While I agree (and had a Chris Paul quip ready to go), Sulley was over the top there. That's because you are a great moderator.
  19. Apparently you are a murder too. no, he's a rational human being that posts rational things in response to other rational posts, despite his obvious handicap of being a hawkeye fan. he is not a raving lunatic that goes screaming off into the night at an innocuous statement. Nah he's a murderer. It is obvious because he questioned McCamey. Plus I didn't scream about anything. I have been a big supporter of McCamey all year long. But it is your story, keep telling it how you want. dude, you wet your pants when i suggested that maybe, some day, he could possibly be better than williams. which is not out if the realm of possibilities. a non-psychotic response to such a statement would be "i disagree, deron is one of the best players in illini history and mccamey has a very long way to go to measure up." not the flaming, neurotic crap that you're known for. hence, you're a creepy mass murderer in the making, imo. that's all. Right, because on this board the well thought out response has been the norm lately. As for the mass murder thing, are you kidding me? I know everyone on here likes to poke fun at every little thing, but some of this junk is just over the line. I really don't see how you would find humor in declaring someone who posts on a message board a future mass murderer. Especially when you have never met me. Also when I wet my pants, was it because I laughed. Because the thought of McCamey being better as a frosh than Williams was is funny. If you don't see it that way I guess I rape babies.
  20. deron didn't have to do as much offensively, and played with the bt poy and ftoy. he could afford to be more selective with his shot. plus, he had some great defenders backing him up. who on God's green earth, is going to take shots for this team if it's not mccamey? it definitely looks like either weber isn't interested in making brock the center of the offense, which he should, or brock is too passive to want the ball more. dmac has to take the shots, and he's doing well as of late taking those shots. From what I have read Weber is very fed up with Brock because he is always clowing around and doesn't take the game seriously. I don't know how much credence to put into that, but it is at least a theory. if weber were more interested in winning than in proving points, brock and mccamey would be starting every game and taking the majority of the shots. that's one of the problems i have with bruce, although he has grown on me in the last few months. Yes, but right or wrong he feels he lost this team. Hell Pruitt doesn't respect him at all. he threw a fit after getting pulled in the second half yesterday. I think by being tough with the younger guys he is trying to show them who runs the team.

  24. that is a bold statement as he can barely create his own shot, dependent on an all-star distributor to get him the ball in the paint. but he's a fantastic finisher. Playing with Nash makes him better, no doubt. But if you don't think he would be a very good player on any team I think you are crazy. Good thing he didn't say that he wasn't a very good player. He just said he isn't the best player. Not an earth-shattering statement. Acutally what you quoted is saying more than that. A guy who can barely create his own shot and is dependant on someone else to get him the ball in the paint would usually imply that the player isn't very good. Most good players can create their own shots. Well Amare can create his own shot off of rebounds and post-moves. He can't off the dribble, but most bigs can't. He's good, not great. I agree he is a good player. I do think he will get the chance to create more now off of the dribble. I think he will be able to some. Oh yeah, he will most definitely have more space to operate with Shaq on the floor. Shaq is only gonna be on the floor for about 20 minutes a game though. He should also be on the wing more when Shaq is in the game, since Shaq will be the one doing the posting up.
