    The fact that 1 of the 2 was clutch is meaningless. If you are talking about playing a hot hand, you'll have a hard time justifying calling a weak hitter coming off an 0-4 game who is 2 for his last 10 the hot hand. I didnt say he was the hot hand. Im just saying you cant bench him after 1 crap game, especially when you can have him and Ronny both playing. You bench him because he's the lesser player, not because of one crap game. But lots of people are insisting he's the hot hand, that he's white hot, and that he's on a roll. I was pointing out that 0-4 yesterday and 2 for his last 10 takes away from the theory that he's the hot hand. Lesser player than who? Granted, Ronny Cedeno game up big vs. The Mets, but what else has he done for us? You need more that a couple of clutch hits to be guaranteed a starting job on a contening team. All Ronny has done is be better at baseball than Theriot. That fact alone should guarantee he get to play.

    The biggest difference from last year to this year is we aren't trotting crap like Jones and Kendall out there everyday. Instead we replaced them with two very good hitters. Although Milwaukee might not agree with that since they probably think Kendall will sustain the insane start he has going.

    I prefer to start our best pitchers against Milwaukee. Hill is one of them, Marquis isn't.

    I love how in '85 that the Cards went from 11-15 to 101 wins. Not at all suprising.

    No ramirez did that. Would they have IBB'd Fukudome with runners on 1st and 2nd? I would want guys on 2nd and 3rd with 0 outs all day with Ramirez up. That is why we have him. He just didn't come through.
